Work Experience
Worked on branding, marketing (both print and digital), and website projects for clients in financial and legal advisory, healthcare education, fitness, and real estate. Mainly operated as a UX/UI designer, and occasionally moonlit as a copywriter. 🥷
Worked on e-commerce website projects for B2B and D2C SMBs in automotive aftermarket, baby and family care, home and garden, and feminine health.
Continued to lead all things UX at pb+j, with increased emphasis on helming project strategy and oversight. Was typically regarded as the de facto project owner by internal and external parties, unless otherwise stated.
Collaborated closely with fellow team members across all disciplines (but especially the Head of Design and Head of Operations) to deliver creative and cohesive digital experiences shaped by both stakeholder demands and user needs. Advocated for backend manageability and long-term scalability while co-building tech stacks and ideating solutions with developers.
Liaised with vendors and contractors, reviewed project scoping estimates, and co-wrote SoWs on a regular basis. Set the standard for documentation, knowledge transfer, meeting etiquette, and situational preparedness. Often called upon to resourcefully navigate unexpected surprises, and bring the element of empathy into challenging conversations with clients.
Juggled a dual role of individual contributor and project manager during a brief period of significant organizational change.
Worked on e-commerce website projects for B2B and D2C SMBs in beauty and fashion, personal care, food and beverage, and household goods.
Intentionally shifted towards UX specialization, and implemented various new practices into the team’s existing process. (For example, customer persona creation, journey mapping, writing scripts and conducting usability testing, and heuristic evaluation.) Partnered tirelessly with the UI and PM leads to ensure quality output and frictionless client experiences for all project engagements, as humanly possible.
Gained extensive proficiency in Shopify as part of role requirements, and actively familiarized with e-commerce operational fundamentals (e.g. inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping strategies, etc.) to improve accuracy of work. Frequently self-taught adjacent platforms and relevant third-party applications (e.g. email marketing, CRM, workflow automation, etc.) to bolster overall project success.
Championed UX core competencies on top of ongoing leadership responsibilities. Became the team’s subject-matter expert in Shopify CMS training, product setup, and website launch process.
Worked on website (both e-commerce and marketing) and marketing (both print and digital) projects for clients in professional services, health and wellness, culture and tourism, lifestyle, and interior design.
Expanded upon existing design responsibilities to include: team-wide supervision and coaching, occasional project management, and supporting the Head of Operations and co-founders as required (e.g. hiring, attending networking and in-person events, weighing in on company-wide decisions, etc.).
Worked on website, branding, marketing (both print and digital), and packaging projects for clients across a wide variety of industries and verticals (such as foodservice and hospitality, financial and legal advisory, art and design, religious organizations, and higher education).
Responsible for projects from start to finish — including concept ideation, information architecture and site mapping, wireframe and mockup creation, stakeholder meetings and presentations, QA, launch, and post-launch client training.
Gained extensive proficiency in Squarespace as part of role requirements, and consciously honed basic frontend development skills in order to produce more well-rounded work.
Performed both independently and as part of a small team (consisting of a design lead, a project manager, a developer, and another fellow designer). Took the initiative to mentor student interns and onboard new hires.
Worked on internal marketing, branding, and other print-based projects for clients in life insurance, education, and banking.
Primarily responsible for production and final delivery, but also assisted with concept ideation. Was quickly entrusted with direct client and vendor communication (with minimal oversight from senior leadership).
