Product Design
Working with a variety of clients coming from different industries. Breaking down complex problems through diagramming and research and then using that knowledge to build simple, user-friendly interfaces. Responsibilities include project planning, creating user flow diagrams, designing and iterating on various solutions, presenting the pros and cons of those solutions, collaborating with engineering, accounting for cost and impact, etc.

Design Systems
Specialized in creating and implementing multi-brand design systems from scratch using design tokens. Focused on balancing the needs of designers and engineers to develop a design system aligned with Figma and code, reducing the time spent on quality assurance. Utilizing the latest features in Figma and other tools allowing designers to streamline their workflows. These design systems are rigid enough to create consistent work that remains on brand but flexible enough to solve new problems and develop new features—ultimately allowing teams to ship faster. High-level business goals are continuously evaluated and aligned with the work at hand. Other tasks include aligning stakeholders, training designers, writing documentation, establishing a governance process, product design, website design, Webflow development, and branding.

2020 — 2022
Chattanooga, TN

Helping start-ups to large organizations create a consistent and memorable experience for their customers through product design, web design, and branding. In the product space, I helped start-ups design their product from 0 to 1 with continued iteration and user testing. This involved creating user journeys and flows, establishing a design system for fast iteration, strategizing the user experience, consulting with third-party experts, facilitating client workshops, etc. Through collaboration with my team, I developed and established a more streamlined project process that led to more efficient workflows for both our team and the client, which led to more accurate quoting. While at Whiteboard, I also gained experience managing teams, leading meetings, collaborating with business operations and leadership, and advocating for and mentoring my peers. When managing designers, I provided practical guidance and direction to ensure all projects were completed to a high standard and on time. I built strong relationships with our clients through effective communication and have received positive feedback that led to repeat business.

2017 — 2021
CEO & Foudner at The Button Brigade
Memphis, TN

I founded and solely operated a gender-neutral clothing company that manufactured button-ups that were size inclusive. I raised $32,000 on Kickstarter and was featured in The New York Post, Esquire, Teen Vogue, Hooligan Magazine, and more. I worked with pattern makers, fabric sources, and manufacturing to get up and running within 3 months with little to no experience in the fashion industry. I was able to leverage my quick ability to learn and work ethic to make it happen successfully.

2015 — 2017
Creative Director at Agape North
Memphis, TN
2013 — 2015
Communications Director at Central Church
Collierville, TN

Fresh out of college, I was thrown into a director's position at a church that averaged 1400 members. Here, I learned how to organize. Picture 6+ ministries scheduling new events at any moment's notice. They need the works—event art, t-shirt design, banners, flyers, handouts, digital ads, bulletin space, email blasts, you name it. I implemented new tooling to create a submission process for events and requests. This allowed our team to plan ahead as much as possible. This required onboarding all ministries and was quite a success. I also had to manage relationships with our many printers, but for things we did in-house, I had to print, cut, and distribute. I managed event planning and scheduling for promotional material and did the artwork alongside my team designer.
