Work Experience
I build and develop React components to meet specific design and functionality needs, and I’m hands-on in creating front-end projects using React and Next.js. I actively participate in daily stand-ups and planning meetings, where I help define the scope and set the acceptance criteria for new features. My work also includes building out custom features for Shopify using Liquid, enhancing the user experience, and tailoring e-commerce solutions to fit the needs of the business.
As a Frontend Developer at Fjorge, I create functional websites, components, and modules that align with design specs and project requirements. My main focus is on the visual and functional aspects of projects, ensuring they look great and work seamlessly. I often lead e-commerce projects, guiding teams of 1-4 developers, and prefer working with JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
I’ve worked closely with leadership and designers to develop the State lottery website, a project that involved integrating multiple third-party APIs and a headless backend. I’ve led several new feature projects, taking on a lead role and overseeing other developers to bring them to completion.
In building Shopify apps, I use Next.js with ES6 to support our React codebase, and I create authentication flows that allow custom apps to communicate with Shopify APIs. I also build unique front-end interfaces using custom JavaScript, CSS/Sass, and HTML, working directly with clients and designers to achieve the desired look and functionality.
It was my responsibility to develop features, sites and functionality to match the designer’s mockups and client’s requirements. This includes communicating progress and issues with project managers. We work with a large variety of technologies.
