Work Experience
Will update this later 😎
I joined Pinterest as a contractor on the Platform Design team. I partnered with product & engineering on Trust & Safety updates, specifically in regards to Pinterest's design system Gestalt. Projects included new feature updates, upgrading enterprise-level internal tools, collaboration with the Legal team, updates to Pinterest's developer site and contribution of new design system components and design documentation.
After that I converted to a full-time role on the Advertiser Growth team. I collaborated with product, engineering and sales on projects focused on attracting and retaining advertisers and merchants. This included one-off experiments meant to engage users as well as longer term projects and explorations around experiences like user onboarding and activation. Coming from the Platform side, I continued to build design consistency across Pinterest's surfaces, uphold product quality and work with other designers to define and document team best practices.
At Wistia I was an embedded designer on the Audio Video Experience team as the primary designer. I led design work for the new Wistia audio player, specifically focusing on interaction design and accessibility while building out the player as its own confined design system. This overlapped with improvements to Wistia channels, including a dynamic, content-first approach to the web experience. I worked closely with the product manager and lead engineer while also partnering with other engineers, designers and researchers.
I started out at Google contracting on the Google News team as the primary designer for the Publisher Center tool. I partnered with product managers, engineers and UX writers on an end-to-end redesign of the tool. This also involved collaboration with the larger Google News design team and Material Design system team.
Later on I partnered with the Firebase team on Performance tools for developers. I designed a metrics dashboard from scratch utilizing research and speaking directly to developers. I also worked on projects that involved illustration and animation.
At Pega I was a UX Designer on the Customer Service team, specializing in customer service software applications for a variety of industries. This included the back-end experience of customer service agents as well as consumer-facing customer portals. One specific project I iterated on was a Field Services mobile application for field workers.
Industries included: Healthcare, insurance, financial services, communications and field services.
*AP was Acquired by Duck Creek Technologies in 2016
At Agencyport Software I designed the interface for Portal 5, a software application for insurance agents. I was also responsible for AP's web presence, which included the Agencyport.com website, annual conference website, developer zone blog and "Power To The Agents" website. Designer/Front-End developer for client-based projects and occasional illustrator (as seen below!)
