A minimalist rhythm game that transforms 12 strangers within five-ten minutes to 1 player group synchronised in rhythm, precision and cooperation to win
My role: Co-designer, production lead, managed a 7-person creative team + 9 event volunteers.
About Bonkell
The Danish Roskilde Festival commissioned us to build a room-sized game installation for that year's Art Zone public space. We developed Bonkell entirely on-premise in the week before the festival, including coding the digital game itself, and build custom furniture wired to run as a shared, game controller the size of its exhibition room.
How it works
Bonkell plays as a series of mini-levels that players solve by pressing increasingly complex color sequences via 12 arcade buttons built into the room’s 2 controller tables.
