Work Experience

2025 — Now
2023 — 2024
Seoul, Korea
  • Led a development team in the creation of the final version of the PLEXUS (cross-chain DEX aggregator), including features such as multi-token cross-chain swap and multi-chain vaults.

  • Generated approximately $6 billion in transaction volume and acquired over 100,000 verified users through the cross-chain DEX aggregator.

  • Transitioned to a modular monolithic architecture based on Nest.js, implemented blockchain node redundancy, and optimized infrastructure architecture, resulting in a 60% reduction in customer support incidents, over a 40% decrease in monthly fixed costs, and improved user experience.

2022 — 2023
Seoul, Korea
  • Led a team of 3 frontend and backend developers to develop a decentralized exchange (DEX), NFT membership service, and the alpha version of the PLEXUS (cross-chain DEX aggregator).

  • Led the design and implementation of the entire backend architecture and database modeling, and managed the development of both frontend and backend.

  • Generated approximately $800 million in transaction volume, acquired around 40,000 verified users, and ranked 13th among all blockchain services, according to DappRadar.

Projects

2024
Multi-chain Vault at Hi-Protocol
  • Developed a feature to easily view and deposit pools deployed by blockchain services across multiple chains, ranked by yield.

  • Enabled simultaneous deposits of up to three different tokens into a desired pool.

  • Led end-to-end development of both frontend and backend, and integrated smart contracts.

2024
  • Optimized AWS infrastructure by restructuring for improved security and scalability, implementing various solutions including migrating from RDS to Aurora and EC2 to Fargate, enabling more efficient and stable operations with a smaller team, and reducing costs by over 40%.

  • Transitioned from an Express.js-based monolithic architecture to a Nest.js-based modular monolithic architecture using the Strangler Fig Pattern, separating modules like transaction history tracking, blockchain event indexing, and vaults to minimize error propagation and improve system reliability.

  • Modified the backend and database to support node provider redundancy and enable fallback node configuration, preventing issues from managed blockchain node providers from affecting our service and avoiding dependency on a single provider.

  • Improved user experience by enhancing frontend and backend with WebSocket integration for faster transaction updates, and implementing various Lottie animations and transition effects for a more engaging interface.

2023
Multi-token Cross-chain Swap at Hi-Protocol
  • Developed the world’s first multi-token cross-chain swap feature, enabling the exchange of up to six tokens simultaneously across different blockchains.

  • Enhanced database schemas and backend architecture to achieve greater scalability and flexibility.

  • Developed a server for transaction status tracking and blockchain event indexing, enhancing the overall trading experience using Nest.js.

2023
PLEXUS (Cross-chain DEX Aggregator) at Hi-Protocol
  • Developed a cross-chain DEX aggregator enabling token exchanges between different chains with optimal exchange rates and times.

  • Led the full stack development, including frontend, backend, and AWS infrastructure, using Next.js and Express.js.

  • Developed the world's first routing engine to explore cross-chain transaction paths and execute swap operation in a single transaction.

  • Improved and stabilized the token swap path discovery algorithm, achieving a 50%+ reduction in speed and error occurrence.

  • Integrated over 25 dex aggregator and bridge services, including 1inch and Stargate.

2022
NFT Membership Service at Hi-Protocol
  • Developed an NFT platform enabling users to create personalized avatars by customizing characters with various NFT parts for governance.

  • Led the full-stack development, including both frontend and backend using React and Express.js, and integrated unity with smart contracts.

2022
Decentralized Exchange (DEX) at Hi-Protocol
  • Led both frontend and backend development using React and Express.js and integrated methods of smart contract.

  • Developed key features such as swap, staking, dashboard, and pair deposit/withdrawal.

  • Enhanced frontend performance, achieving a 70% reduction in smart contract call time.

Side Projects

2024
  • Participated in an AI-driven service development competition as part of a 4-member team, responsible for both frontend and backend (API server) development.

  • Designed and developed a real-time industrial safety monitoring application using React Native, and bundled the React application with Vite for real-time CCTV streaming using the HLS protocol, integrating it into a webview for source code injection.

  • Developed an API server using Nest.js for communication with the application, implementing features such as streaming data processing, disaster record management, and push notifications.

2024
  • Led a team of 3 members in developing a university graduation project, handling project management, application design and development, and implementing a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture.

  • Developed an application using React Native for tracking workout records and providing personalized recommendations and integrated a Next.js project using WebView.

  • Implemented a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture to generate tailored workout plans by leveraging expert knowledge.

2021
  • Independently developed a react web application for visualizing subway lines, utilizing EmotionJS for styling and Recoil for state management.

  • Implemented features to add, modify, and remove subway lines, stations, and routes, set travel times between stations, and calculate the shortest path between stations.

  • The project demo can be accessed through the following link: Train Map Visualizer Demo.

2017
  • Developed an information scraping and sharing platform, winning 1st place in a high school web application contest.

  • Developed the backend using Java Servlet, Naver's Search Open API, and Kakao's Social Login and Post Upload Open APIs, and built the frontend using JSP, Ajax, and jQuery.
