Work Experience
Explored new product areas for Instagram as a backend engineer on the Instagram Labs team. In 2020 I moved to Tokyo for 1.5 years to work on the Instagram Japan team (led by Ian Spalter) to build products inspired by our Japanese users. Before that, I worked on Instagram Discovery products such as Search, Hashtags, and Explore.
Backend product engineer for Business Communications and Messaging. Launched the Unified Inbox which allowed Pages to manage inbound messages and comments from both their Facebook Page and Instagram accounts in one place.

Backend Engineer. Built the first version of community groups on Instagram.
PM + Backend Lead. A way to discover places on Instagram. Created while on the Instagram Japan team in Tokyo.
Built the original backend to search and filter for popular IG locations and photos on a map. Then led a team of 20+ engineers across Instagram and Facebook to launch the product globally.
Side project for Instagram's 10th Birthday. Visualizes your past stories on a map to look back on where you've been.
