UI/UX Designer (Paid Internship) at Kaiser Permanente
  • Successfully completed a 3-month summer internship with Kaiser’s NORCAL Strategic Development and Technology department, leading to an invitation to stay through August 2025.

  • Created seamless digital experiences tailored to both healthcare providers and patients, enhancing accessibility and workflows across varying health conditions and contexts.

  • Designed and presented comps and interactive prototypes using Figma, receiving feedback from cross-functional teams, including engineers, program managers, and marketing, ensuring designs meet the requirements of each team.

  • Advocated for UX principles and best practices throughout design projects, ensuring user-centered design remained a priority across cross-functional teams.

  • Ensured cohesive and functional designs across all stakeholders integrating feedback into iterative design cycles and maintained content repositories and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards.

  • Operated as an independent freelance designer, providing visual branding and artwork solutions for clients across diverse industries, including artists, restaurants, and small businesses.

UX Designer & Program Leader at BRIDGEGOOD
  • Delivered impactful speeches on BRIDGEGOOD's mission to make tech accessible to BIPOC communities, invited by the Executive Director, Shaun Tai.

  • Represented the organization at high-profile events, including the 2024 East Bay Innovation Awards, 2024 PayPal Community Impact Fair, Cal Berkeley's 2024 Hack for Impact, and as the Emcee for our 2024 Fundraiser.

  • Led outreach efforts to promote organizations tuition-free programs, engaging over 600 students across 100 Northern California colleges through classroom visits and open labs.

  • Conducted in-person UX interviews with 15 Black creatives in partnership with 2024 Tech Equity Collective, a Google initiative, to gather insights on accelerating access and opportunities for Black creatives in tech, shaping BRIDGEGOOD's 2025 resources and programs.

  • Led and facilitated in-person UX workshops for 15-30 aspiring design students, enhancing their understanding of design principals and processes. Provided feedback on student presentations and supported refining their final designs.

  • Grew from student participant to organizational leader at BRIDGEGOOD after discovering the program through a school visit. Achieved Top 20 recognition in the Inspire Oakland design competition, which inspired two years of involvement in programs and ultimately led to joining the team post-graduation to further its mission of empowering BIPOC creatives in tech.
