Projects

Ongoing

Created so I could register for certain classes I wanted when they became available, this tool monitors specific courses and scans for updates in the course's availability status. It then notifies you when one of the courses on your monitoring list becomes available–then registers you for it.

Currently, this project is not open-source–but will be eventually.

Based on the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW), Endless is an emulation project focused on recreating the gameplay experience of the original game from their expansion The Burning Crusade.

During my time here, I contributed to the project through development of the codebase that the project ran on, as well as managed the support team that facilitated the smooth experience for thousands of concurrent players from the years of 2020 to 2023.

The codebase (core) is an MMORPG framework based mostly in C++. Like many other emulations of this game, the core is derived from MaNGOS, the Massive Network Game Object Server, providing a solid foundation for creating private servers that mimic the mechanics and behavior of the official WoW servers. This core features extensive changes over time to optimize, improve and cleanup the codebase whilst also improving the in-game mechanics and functionality to support thousands of players.

A humorous, while interesting, summary on these emulations (private servers) and the history of them and how they came to be: here.

The Endless team consists of seasoned developers who come from many different backgrounds, where I was able to employ what I know in a production environment that supported thousands of concurrent players, as well as learn much more about development as a whole.

A legacy version and brief history of the core can be found here, as all development on the current production version is proprietary.
