About

Hello, I'm Jack,

A UI-leaning product designer that enjoys shaping tricky design challenges into thoughtful, detailed and highly-crafted solutions.

My pragmatic approach is grounded by a solid technical awareness and guided by both business and user needs.

Side Projects

2024

The Colour Clock was born from the curiosity of how the six digits of a digital clock might look transposed into the hexadecimal colour format.

The resulting timepiece compacts a full spectrum of colour into the space of 24 hours. Every second of the day a slightly different shade.

The font is Aeonik Mono by Cotype Foundry

2024

Mixing digital display with analogue motion this minimalist clock provided me with an excuse to refresh my knowledge of JS and learn a bit more about it along the way.

2020

An experimental clock visualisation and an excuse to practice more CSS and JavaScript.

2019

Showcasing an alphabet of botanical illustration, featuring plants known for their edible flowers.

A project in partnership with Charlotte Day, I contributed graphic design, copywriting and coding.
