I'm a Product and UX designer, but also work on Branding and Web Development projects. I like to help companies grow and modernize their business, and to build products that stand the test of time.

– Designed and developed many websites and brand identities for startups and small businesses.
– Improved the usability, interactions, and aesthetic of a new mobile app.

UX Specialist / Product Owner at Nebraska Book Company
Lincoln, Nebraska

– Led an internal agile team through management of priorities and scope, requirement gathering, solution design, business analysis, testing, documentation, and implementation. In addition, responsible for similar work with a critical 3rd party system provider.
– Served as the principal designer across two internal development teams. Responsible for creating mockups, prototypes, and holistic views of user and service journeys.
– Actively participated on IT Leadership team, which included setting IT department goals, communicating business needs, creating product vision and roadmaps, and identifying areas for team improvement.

UX/UI Specialist at Nebraska Book Comany

Designed dashboards and reports for a new data visualization/business insights product:
– Extensively researched industry KPIs and important metrics for users.
– Created a style guide and theme for consistency between dashboards and a smoother development process.
– This product saved users hours of manual work each week by presenting key data and insights in a quick, easy-to-digest format.

Modernized a 15+ year old legacy B2B ordering website:
– Participated in a design sprint with key stakeholders.
– Helped design the initial information architecture, user flow, and features of the website.
– Designed the final UI mockups and prototypes.
– Reviewed and tested product design and quality before launch.
– Researched and designed new enhancements based on user feedback.

Redesigned and optimized major areas of our B2C e-commerce website:
– Designed mockups of new functionality.
– Optimized usability and layout on mobile devices.
– Performed a site-wide UX and accessibility audit.
