About
I'm an award-winning designer, creative leader, and mentor currently envisioning the future of quantum computing at IBM. With over 15 years of experience in digital design, I've successfully led teams through full-scale projects at Fortune 500 companies like Dell, Oracle, and IBM.
I have a versatile design background including signing experiences across various industries, including architecture, multimedia design, e-commerce, and industrial design.
My collaboration with IBM Quantum and the Cleveland Clinic garnered recent recognition on 60 Minutes. Additionally, my involvement in Quantum System Two played a key role in securing three Red Dot Awards for IBM design in 2023 and 2024, specifically earning the prestigious "Best of the Best" in Concept and Design.
Work Experience
Creative direction for IBM Quantum across brand, product, web video, VR, AR, brand activations, marketing materials, and events. Defined industrial/architectural design standards for Quantum Computer prototypes and global client innovation facilities. Through the application of design thinking, I worked with line-of-business owners to identify high-impact, business-valued projects. Bootstrapped and managed design teams focused on user-centered business-valued outcomes to be an enterprise-ready full-service design team as quantum computing goes to market.
Delivered a simplified, mobile-friendly Oracle.com through the application of user-centric, design research, and agile best practices. Lead the development of the Oracle.com (Ocom) design system. Partnered with brand leadership to create the Oracle Sans typeface for use in the Redwood design system. Managed a team of visual and UX designers, agencies, and contractors for ongoing projects across multiple Oracle digital properties.
Led conceptualization, strategy, and design for Dell Online and Mobile across Web, Android, and IOS platforms. Instrumental in the conceptualization and launch of Dell’s first Mobile commerce and support experiences. Worked with User Research, UX Design, and Development to create experiences that optimized desirable user outcomes.
Conceptualized new campaigns, apps, and web experiences for a suite of Dell products. Coordinated with cross-functional teams to deliver new concepts that met client deadlines and expectations.

IBM Quantum is laying the groundwork for business-ready quantum workloads. To do this we will need to increase the capacity of QPUs working across multiple cryostatic refrigeration units. System Two will be the platform that will bring quantum computing to the mainstream while giving research teams the flexibility to tackle valuable business and research problems at a scale.
Working with a large cross-functional team in tight iterative design sprints, engineers and designers wrestled a complex set of requirements into a beautiful cutting-edge machine while keeping human factors and usability front and center. Collaborating with a large cross-functional team in rapid design sprints, engineers and designers transformed complex requirements into a cutting-edge machine, prioritizing human factors and usability. As the project CD, I ensured our design principles aligned with the project brief and guided our design agencies in line with IBM design principles.
System Two is up and running at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York. The design has been recognized globally for its innovative design and its flexible modularity has allowed for new configurations that continue to push the envelope of what is capable in quantum computing.

Client: IBM Quantum | Cleveland Clinic
Quantum computers are among the key emerging technologies of the 21st century. IBM's first self-contained quantum computer, the IBM Quantum System One, served as a proof of concept, demonstrating that equipment once scattered across labs could be packaged into a compact, freestanding device. This groundbreaking system was purchased by the Cleveland Clinic, becoming the world’s first quantum computer dedicated to medical research and the first to operate in a public space.
The design challenge was to create a visual language for System One that would make it approachable to the public. The dimensions were based on IBM's 2x grid, and materials were selected to encourage exploration, curiosity, and reflection.
Cleveland Clinic installed one of the first quantum computers outside of a lab, proudly showcasing this pioneering technology in their lobby. System One became a vibrant hub for gatherings, lectures, lunches, and quiet contemplation, embodying its mission of fostering transparency in learning. In 2023, it was honored with a Best of Show Red Dot Award.
See it in action as the subject of a 60 Minutes piece!

Client: IBM Quantum | Howard University
The IBM | HBCU Quantum Center is a partnership between IBM and Howard University aimed at cultivating diverse talent in the rapidly evolving field of quantum computing. Unlike many industries with entrenched biases in hiring, quantum computing provides an inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive. As a new entity on the Howard campus, the center needed a brand and visual identity to extend its reach to all HBCUs and help achieve its goals.
As creative director, I led a unique project that combined student talent with IBM Design Thinking to develop a groundbreaking brand for the HBCU Quantum Center. Collaborating with student designers, we created a brand that embodies opportunity and equity, reflecting the energy and potential of a new generation in this transformative field.

Redwood is the name of Oracle’s next-generation user experience. It is focused on bringing state-of-the-art, consumer-grade user experiences across devices to the sophisticated enterprise scenarios that Oracle enables. The Redwood experience is not just for our user interfaces but touches every single interaction of Oracle customers and partners (and employees) have with the company. Redwood is much more than a change in color scheme or a marketing initiative. Redwood is a collective reinvention of how Oracle customers interact with technology and consume information. We see this as an opportunity to set a new standard for user experience for the entire industry.
