Projects

2022

Pillar Housing is a feedback management platform specifically designed for low-income housing residences to keep a concrete record of building issues and tenancy complaints in order to create more accountability from non-profits and organizations to their tenants and workers. I researched, wireframed, prototyped, tested, and iterated this product throughout my 12-week diploma program at BrainStation. A full case study is available on my portfolio.

2022

A modern streaming solution for the client to capture younger audience markets by curating streaming packages perfectly customized to the viewer's preferences. TELUS Bubble is a fun, interactive interface to an otherwise mundane and potentially overwhelming task of streaming service channel and package selection. This project was researched, ideated, produced, and developed within a 24-hour hackathon in collaboration with 2 UX designers and 3 web developers.

2021

My ideal eCommerce platform, showcasing my hand-made products as well as my personality while exploring novel and exciting interaction design. Through the UI Design Certificate program with BrainStation, I completed competitive analysis, a brand moodboard, style guidelines, wireframes, and a high fidelity prototype.

Lab Volunteer & Previous Capstone Student at UBC Speech in Context Linguistics Lab
University of British Columbia

As a part of my Cognitive Systems capstone course, I worked under Dr. Molly Babel to create software to clean, organize, manipulate, and analyze data from the lab's large database of linguistic background questionnaire responses. We tested the accuracy and reliability of this tool by replicating a study to quantify bilingualism through the measure of entropy, applying their methodology to the newly accessible data. After this capstone project, I continue to aid in the completion of various lab tasks as well as designing any graphic designs needed to advertise research studies

Side Projects

2022

Pongmanship battles fast fashion one piece of upcycled clothing at a time. We believe in the message that fashion doesn't always have to be fast and harmful to the environment and those who make it. Something as simple and intentional as intricate hand embroidery can give new life to used and vintage clothing and apparel. 30% of the proceed from each embroidered piece is donated to Team #Pongo on the Share the Meal app, run by the United Nations World Food Programme, allowing purchases to fund meals for people across the globe who may need them. Though these steps are small and there is so much more room for growth, they prove another narrative that fashion can be slow and give back.
