Work Experience
Designing a low-cost smart speaker solution to support aging in place for individuals with Mild Cognitive Impairments (MCI), as part of a 400-hour Capstone project for a healthcare technology service through UMD's iConsultancy
• Led design sprint teams of 6 to create an enhanced voice-based experience.
• Synthesized key insights from remote user testing sessions to deliver working prototypes in Figma, detailed wireframes and full user flows, preliminary visual design, and possible product directions.
• Currently building an Alexa Skill that enables omnichannel and multi-modal interactions, for further testing and validation of an accessible device ecosystem for people with MCI and older adults.

Graduate Assistant for Science Everywhere project, which is an NSF funded research study aimed at understanding how technology can engage entire communities in science learning. Primary Investigator - Dr. Tamara Clegg
• Designed an online experience for after school programs that focus on science learning in life relevant contexts.
• Built a new web application and an extended social media presence enabling parents & teachers to continue teaching science to their children at home.
• Advised a class of 100 undergraduate students in Technologies, Infrastructure, and Architecture (INST314) course.
• Helped students understand technology and architectures within the contexts of solving social issues, supporting science, and conducting business operations
• Developed a Visual Design Strategy for an idea sharing and collaboration mobile application.
• Partnered with business & development teams to conduct initial research and translate requirements into working prototypes using Illustrator + Figma.
• Documented core elements such as common UI elements, color, type styles, and established rules that are integral to the Design System
• Performed usability testing & validation for a banking application.
• Helped evaluate user experience and brainstorm ideas for redesign.
