About

Product designer with 20+ years working in design. First as a graphic designer in Stockholm, Sweden, until I moved to the US in 2011 to work at Apple (now a U.S. citizen).

At Apple I worked on their first interactive books creator called iBooks Author, for iPhone, iPad and the Mac. Later in my years there I was the lead designer in the redesign of Notes for iOS7. This was also the first app to support the Apple Pencil, with a lot of innovation around handwriting being designed for the iPad experience.

I left after almost 5 years to work at Pinterest. Redesigning their first social feature “Tried It” as well as their creator profiles and new ways of creating and posting Pins.

I left after two years for a chance of working at Messenger to design and pitch a new tab around your closest friends. The product got put on hold after 6 months in order for us to tackle the unification of messaging apps within Meta. Around the same time as this happened I got a peek into what Cash App was building and decided to join the small product design team to transform the P2P app into a simple delightful banking offering. Through my 5 years here I’ve designed our card customization product, our Cash Card tab, our Savings product and much more…

Work Experience

2019 — Now
New York

As an early design team member at Cash App, I have led several projects for our banking product, including our savings product, card customization and purchase flows, redesigning our banking tab, as well as starting the Families product to open up Cash App to 13 to 17 year olds.

2018 — 2019
San Francisco

My time at Messenger was short but sweet. These designs were exploratory and remain at the concept phase, but I still believe they would make a great addition to the app.

Work showing a reimagining the Stories tab, adding new ways to engage with close friends together. First concept shown made with Jarrett Ford & Hunter Caron.
I made a second version of the experience that closer incorporated Stories, and browse action-prompts and memories from your closest friends.
Last examples show a concept around how stories could be integrated into a chat thread.

2016 — 2018
San Francisco

Work showing a concept around Pin creation. Secondly, "Tried It" was a feature where users could upload their own takes of a Pin. Last is showing the redesigns business profiles.

2011 — 2016
Cupertino

At Apple, I was one of three designers working on iBooks and iBooks author (RIP) during the transition to iOS7.

After that I was the lead designer on the same transition for Notes. This also was the first app that supported the Apple Pencil, meaning I worked closely with the HI team trying to define how best to utilize this new hardware and how we can create a UI that both lets you write text, draw images and handwrite.
