Full-stack software engineering, with a focus on internal tooling
Natural Sitter is a pet owner/pet sitter matching platform serving the Tokyo area. As the sole engineer on the project, I worked collaboratively with the product owner and a designer to define the product's requirements, and built the entire service and supporting infrastructure from scratch.
Helped transition Moneytree's consumer-facing web application from Angular.js to React, and bring it up to feature parity with the iOS/Android applications.
As AQ's first engineering hire, put in place engineering systems, processes, and best practices, while at the same time working on diverse client projects, ranging from prototyping work to full-scale web apps. By the end of my tenure, AQ has acquired the capability of taking on engineering work in addition to the company's well-established design business.
Front-end development, UI and UX design. Helped transition Cookpad to a mobile-first design, as well as design, build and launch a completely new service/revenue stream.
A civic-tech platform ahead of its time: Local Republic helped its users get together to solve their real-life community’s issues and share solutions with communities around the world.
