About
Hey there! 👋
I go by ghanbak on the interwebs, but my real name is Ethan. I'm a Product Design Manager working in crypto, web3, and NFTs. I've got a penchant for chopping wood and I'm a massive Star Wars fanboy.

Work Experience
Side Projects
In the fall of 2018, I came back from a trip to the woodlands of Maryland feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. As Nick Stamas and I talked over lunch about how I was able to exercise while away by chopping wood, we came upon the idea to start a fitness club in Brooklyn centered around the simple, but physically demanding exercise of chopping wood. We started our business, put together a business plan, crunched the numbers, and started hosting classes. Unfortunately, Covid forced us to close the doors far too early.
Who knows, maybe Lumberjacked will be resurrected in your neighborhood soon.
My friend Aimee LaPlant and I built a website to crunch the numbers on comic book characters. Betcha can't figure out who's got 1st place for total appearances.

Matt and I collaborated to make an iMessage sticker pack for metal fans like ourselves.

Awards
I teamed up with my colleague, Dylan Bathurst, for a Bitcoin hackathon. The hackathon had awards for 4 categories: Taproot, Discreet Log Contracts, Design, and Most Creative. Dylan and I won the Discreet Log Contracts and Design categories with our project. We started by building a futures betting platform based on the price of Bitcoin using DLCs and Lightning network. Unfortunately, one of the sponsor tools we were using had some bugs we discovered. So we changed our project to a browser plugin that charges advertisers to access your data. Users of Lunch Money can change how much of their data is exposed and earn Satoshis from advertisers for what they share.
