2024

Bland is a collection of components I plan to use for future projects. Think of it as a space dedicated to my components.

I’m releasing it so you all can use it too.

While building this, I researched some popular design systems — IBM, Ant, Goldman Sachs, Untitled, etc.

I was mainly looking out for —

  • how they named their tokens,

  • how they arranged their files,

  • how they made their components.

All these influenced how I created Bland. It was painstaking but very rewarding.

Some features of Bland —

  • I used Autolayout to make the components very responsive.

  • I used variables for more intuitive naming of my tokens.

  • I used component props to make the components versatile.

  • etc

This is still in development.

Reve

The aim of this project is to explore Variables in Figma.

Highlights—

• It is totally free on the Figma community
• Contains Variables, Styles, and Components for Color, Typography, Spacing, and much more.
• A Pattern Library
• Auto layout is used…a lot
• Light and dark themes
• Mobile screen

This is a free pattern library I created. Here are some features:
• All common UI patterns—buttons, cards, accordions, sliders…

Work Experience

2024 — Now
Lead Product Designer at Anybid
  • Solo Product Designer for AnyBid—a platform that enables users to play games to win rewards and products.

  • Partnered with 1 Product Manager, 1 Product Owner, and 3 Engineers to build and ship features aligned to company and user’s goals.

  • Designed and redesigned 4 games and multiple core game flows for users to understand critical aspects of the game.

  • Established and maintained a Style Library to help reduce design-to-development time.

2024 — 2024
Contract Product Designer at Lucid
  • Contracted as a design for Lucid—an app that gives users an immersive experience when shopping for furniture.

  • Took ownership as the sole designer, managing the entire product lifecycle from concept creation to working with developers. There was no in-between.

  • Conducted discovery and competitive research to flesh out ideas and understand what works in the current industry.

  • Partnered with the founder to assess the feasibility of a 3d preview feature. This feature allows user to preview a furniture in any 3d space. Later designed and shipped this feature.

  • Established a Style Library to streamline design and development processes.

2022 — 2023
Product designer at Mactavis
  • Solo designer for a Design and Development Agency

  • Led the design of over 10 products, across multiple teams consisting of Product Managers, Product Owners, and Engineers.

  • Working closely with Product and Engineering teams, I shipped and built key features across various products (LMS, Ride-sharing, Healthcare etc.) while discarding the ones that weren’t impactful.

  • Mentored 2 interns, building their foundational knowledge in user-centered design.

2021 — 2023
Founding product designer at 5thPro
  • Solo designer for 5thPro—a fantasy football application

  • Consolidated various systems into one cohesive Fantasy Football tournament app. Tournaments used to be hosted on various social media platform which presented major organization issues. I was brought in to solve this.

  • Designed the mobile app, website, and admin pages to provide a seamless cross-platform experience.

  • Collaborated with the founder to ship a feature that allows users to deeply customize their teams for each league.

  • Established a Style Library to streamline design and development processes

Product designer, Webflow developer at Anya
  • I developed a highly engaging website with Webflow, incorporating interactive elements that elevated the user experience.

  • I worked alongside the founders to conceptualize new features aimed at boosting functionality for users.

  • Optimized site responsiveness across devices and leveraged the CMS for streamlined content updates.

Product designer at Colony

• Developed and implemented style guides for Colony, enhancing the user experience of a social messaging app focused on promoting local businesses to Nigerians.

• Collaborated with founders to plan and conceptualize features that contribute to the growth and success of the platform.
