About
Only a wee proverb guiding me on my journey through life:
RES SEVERA VERUM GAUDIUM
(freely translated: True joy comes from earnest work)
Work Experience
Responsibility for teams of up to 15 front line staff looking after Technical Support, Sales Experience and Community Moderation.
Worked up the ranks this far and proven to be the Go-to-person from small matters of computer troubles to needing someone to talk to. Although less of a customer facing role, managerial escalations from customer retention to service complaints are being handled with instinct and diligence. Of course the usual office work of filing reports, scheduling, coaching, analyzing, quality monitoring and meetings is completed as well.
Initiated with a college project I covered matches in domestic league and cup as well as UEFA Women's Champions League for Glasgow City FC.
Later on I started to get involved with Youth Football Scotland providing video coverage, feature shots and live streaming assistance.
Recent projects:
- "The Porty Boot Room"
- Haddington Athletic home match highlights
As part of a team we share various responsibilities around the successful Sonos account. From new-start training to ongoing coaching, quality monitoring to customer satisfaction analysis; on top of being the source of all knowledge surrounding Sonos and internal processes.
Gathering and preparing regular reports to support the business is a daily task in aid of the team leads.
Having close contact with all agents in the account nourishes a very healthy working relation to all team members; at times resulting in seeking advice on topics that line managers would deal with.
German speaking Customer Service Adviser for a wireless home sound system manufacturer Sonos. Supporting software on Windows PC, Mac, Android and iOS, dealing with basic network trouble shooting and pre-sale enquiries, as well as direct order operations using CRM tools. Successfully contributed to test running a new customer online contact tool for the client and at times engaging with users via social media. I am a go-to-person for almost any questions and queries from colleagues and at times help out with quality analysis and feedback. I graduated on the company internal Growth programme training me to become a team leader. I was commended on my influencing skills and impressive level of detailed metrics analysis.
Working as part of a mini OB crew, providing a third angle of SFL Premiership matches for BBC ALBA and BBC Scotland.
I was assisting producers in filtering stories for SAT1s daily reality-soap „Newtopia“ in a Big Brother-like setting. Typing actions and dialogue, selecting relevant audio channels using Infostradas Centralparq. Taking responsibility to keep all staff involved up-to-date with daily reports.
Some basic interview transcribing for VOXs Game of Chefs.
Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014
Working as Live-logger for archive covering Badminton, Swimming, Lawn Bowls.
As part of HBTI I received training as EVS operator for 10 weeks, 2 day intensive course at BBC Scotland and was presenting VT area of a NEP Vision Truck to fellow students.
Additionally I spent an evening shadowing BT Sports coverage of a SPL match.
Moving on from being a volunteer to a full time member of staff working as 1:1 carer and supporting co-workers in their community aid for people with learning disabilities.
Olympic Games London 2012
First hands on experience in the TV industry, I was driving studio guests from venues and hotels to the IBC. Got an insight into running of a production and loved my spare time spent in the gallery following the producers and directors through the live shows.
