Responsible for growing the design team from 3 to 12, defining the product’s design system, and shipping a new information architecture for web and mobile.
Lead the design strategy and execution for the company’s first consumer product, Tonic. After the CNN acquisition, I led a team of designers and researchers, developed best practices for team-wide communication, diversity and inclusion recruitment, as well as repeatable processes for visualizing and validating ideas through design and research methods.
Managed a cross-functional UX team of eight, including Designers, Researchers, and UX Engineers. Led the design and execution of two projects in the space of Disinformation. Led design and provided creative direction to several creative agencies for the implementation of a VR training tool.
Led design for 360 Photos, Facebook 360, and Facebook Spaces. Provided guidance, mentorship, and resources to designers transitioning from 2D to 3D, such as the Facebook VR Guidelines.
Moved to London to build a design team for Multi-Post Stories, a long form storytelling format that preceded what we now know as Facebook and Instagram Stories.
