The Challenge
Our main challenge at Beauty Date was validating the market and creating a new habit with mobile first. As co-founder and Chief Product Designer, I developed the first CRM (online scheduling platform) integrated with an ERP in the beauty market. That was years before on-demand food delivery apps, Uber, and other similar products reached the market.
The Opportunities
Beauty Date validated the market as a mobile-first company, since it was one of the very first on-demand scheduling platforms. We had the opportunity to guide the public into developing this new habit of consumption within the beauty market, becoming a reference in the industry.
The Proposal






In 2015, Beauty Date acquired AZ in order to expand its services in the beauty industry. AZ is a company that offers business management solutions for beauty professionals. We then created B2b group, that encompassed both companies.





We then integrated AZ's system with Beauty Date's, as well as both our client bases. The next step was improving AZ's infrastructure and developing a management platform for beauty salons.




From working closely with beauty professionals, we also identified the need for a White Label so that the salons could offer a personalized experience to the customers.







Interaction design is an integral part of all projects I work on. At Beauty Date, it was key to guarantee polished micro-moments.



The Results
Our app for booking beauty services is iOS and Android native. The attention to detail and User Experience in the development of the app earned us a fixed feature in the section "Apps that we love" from Apple's App Store for several years since 2016.
Beauty Date expanded from a small 10-people operation to, at one point, employing over 150 people in Brazil. Beauty Date was also selected by two Startup accelerators: Startup Brazil CNPQ in 2014 and 500 Startups in 2016.
Also in 2016, the company received the “App of the Year” award from O2O Brazil that same year. Today, Beauty Date makes over 1 million online bookings and supports over 5,000 beauty salons and over 60,000 professionals.
