Early in 2021, I co-produced, co-hosted, and designed promotional content for four online events for Film & TV students at the University of Greenwich. Through Q&As, panels, and masterclasses, we helped share the inspiring stories of filmmakers and industry professionals who discussed building new skills, film education, and employment.

Resources for Emerging Filmmakers: Overcoming Obstacles and Telling Your Story
The screen industries are filled to the brim with success stories of people of terrific talent getting a lucky break and rising miles above the rest to make millions. And although these stories are popular, they are actually relatively uncommon—even before Covid-19.
If one can't support oneself but must create challenging and ground-breaking work, can they ever go hand in hand? Trying to crack the code between attempting the impossible (also known as "a life in the arts") and earning a living, this series of events looks at alternative openings left for enterprising independent filmmakers to find their own paths to success. Be that via brick-and-mortar theatres, drive-ins, television, streaming platforms, virtual cinemas, galleries, social media—you name it.
We'll encompass skills building, film education, employability, alternative opportunities, and perseverance. Think Q&As, panels, and masterclasses telling the inspiring stories of emerging filmmakers and industry professionals.
