Designer, He/Him

About

As a product designer on Community Safety at Lyft, I look for opportunities to create safer interpersonal experiences for anyone who uses the app. Company-wide, this involves ad-hoc consulting, developing frameworks and resources for others, presenting to our product, design, and engineering teams, and finding opportunities for collaboration.

Within our safety org, this involves focusing on various projects within the safety space. This includes safety feature awareness, privacy, risk mitigation, incident detection, and reporting.

Before Lyft, I worked at another marketplace company, GoFundMe. There, I worked on every aspect of the product. Payments and withdrawals, community interactions, internal risk tooling, storytelling and campaign creation, marketing experiences, and campaign management on iOS, Android, and web. I spent a year and a half managing the design team and representing design as its leader, managing five direct reports while also leading redesigns of the core GoFundMe experience, the public campaign page and the donation funnel.
