Work Experience

2023 — Now
Product Designer at komoot

Working to make outdoor adventures accessible to all.

2019 — 2022

I've worked with a variety of clients, from local startups to global corporations. Previous projects include websites designed and built, full service branding, children's books, seasonal campaigns, editorial design and more.

2019 — 2021
Visual Designer at MarcoPolo Learning
London

As the visual designer on a lean, cross-functional team building an award-winning children's educational app, I was responsible for a wide range of design projects. These included restructuring and redesigning the sign-up flow to increase install-to-trial rates, designing initial touch-points for the product (such as app store screens and in-app onboarding) as well as a variety of systems, materials and visuals to uphold and enhance the brand.

2016 — 2018
Graphic and Web Designer at Fishpie
London

I worked across print and digital platforms to deliver engaging brand experiences. From fun, seasonal in-store campaigns to formidable financial memoranda, interactive web tools to independent branding.

Clients included Marks & Spencer, Budgens, Rothschild, Catalyst, Strada, Coppa Club, Bella Italia, and many smaller local businesses.

2014 — 2016
Graphic and Web Designer at Stella & Dot Family of Brands
London

I produced localised fashion campaigns and lookbooks in
English, French and German for different European markets, as well as managing and redesigning the weekly newsletter for these three locales.

I also designed full branding for conference, trade and press events, and streamlined internal processes with more efficient services for emails and press.

2013 — 2013
Design and Events Intern at betahaus
Berlin

I created all visual materials for the co-working space, from flyers and posters to online material and social media marketing. I created branding and promotional materials for "Maker Weekend", including several physical objects and experiences for the workshops and parties. I organised and oversaw several workshops for the People In Beta Festival 2013, and installed hand-lettering and environmental art.

2012 — 2012
Graphic Design Intern at Image+
Coventry

I worked on several projects, including branding and web design for local companies and laying out handbooks for a large retirement home organisation. I was involved in the re-branding of the studio itself, which included some interior design.

Side Projects

2019

Participated annually from 2019–2021.

2020
App of the Day on Apple App Store

During the time I worked with them, MarcoPolo's World School app was featured as Apple's App of the Day in the USA and Taiwan.

Their educational apps also appeared on Apple's today view over 60 separate times in 59 different countries, and were featured countless times on the app and game views.

Exhibitions

2012
Social Issues: Coventry to Changsha at Central South University and The Herbert Art Gallery
Changsha and Coventry

Exhibited printed, animated and interactive social issue posters created in Coventry and Changsha

Education

2010 — 2013
Graphic Design BA Hons, First Class at Coventry University
Coventry, UK

Volunteering

2021 — Now
Mentor at Coventry University Talent Mentoring

Helping final year Coventry University design students figure out their own path into the world of work.

2018 — 2018
Volunteer at Sustainability Park Istra
Slovenia

I stayed with a sustainable community volunteering cause in Slovenia, where we completed tasks daily as a team for the local village and surrounding areas. It was a great experience to give back to local communities after cycling through their country, and learn more about daily life, national eco-friendly initiatives and the history of the country.
