Assisted with a complete architectural redesign of Trace, a blockchain-based supply chain traceability and transparency tool. Conceived and launched Trace Harvest, a mobile app that allows for farmer-verified payments and evidence collection in the field.

As interim product owner, I helped SCOPEinsight focus their efforts in platform development, streamline their development and priority-setting processes, and develop innovations in business intelligence.

Co-designed and supported the development of PalmTrace (based on the Good Inside Portal), a traceability, audit management, and certificate-trade system created for sustainable palm oil.

CTO at Field Reporter

We started Field Reporter in 2016 with the idea of telling the story behind the data. Field Reporter is a visual reporting platform that allows organizations to capture and share their stories in a fast, authentic and coordinated way across different countries and time zones. Responsible as CTO for supervising product design, development, testing, and technical implementation, and played a large role in customer acquisition and product vision.

Responsible for the analysis, design, integration, and technical implementation of business processes for UTZ Certified (now Rainforest Alliance) and its partners. Managed software suppliers and the daily operations of UTZ Certified ERP systems that are tailor-made to enable commodity industries and other certification platforms (such as the Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil) to show transparency and provide insight into the sustainability of their supply chains. Worked with stakeholders across the organization to examine their needs and develop new tools and platforms to satisfy them. Deeply involved in project management, application design, technical specifications, and issue management in relation to UTZ's local and offshore suppliers. Supervised technical teams responsible for systems administration, quality control, business intelligence and support services. Advised the organization about technology trends and opportunities for their usage in the certification and sustainability sectors.

Supervised the IT operations for a national sustainability NGO in the midst of a major internationalization phase. Brought structure to the IT services so that they could be easily maintained and serve the needs of a quickly growing organization. Tasks included creating and implementing all IT policies and processes; designing and implementing knowledge management and ERP systems to keep all departments in sync and allow them to scale up quickly; selecting and managing service providers, re-implementing the server infrastructure and supervising systems administration and IT support activities.

Contributed to the international expansion of Fairfood by supplying logistical support (IT and other operational activities) to six newly opened offices in both developing and OECD countries.

Designed and supervised the complete rollout of all-new IT infrastructure after NDC separated from Johnson & Johnson in early 2008. Minimized downtime for the organization as it departed from the internal services of a Fortune 500 company. Managed a diverse team of internal and external personnel, and coordinated large handoff of services and data over a period of several months with counterparts inside J&J. Was responsible for all post-transition technology aspects of the company including the server infrastructure, telephone systems, backup processes, networking systems, security audits, compliance, and supervising general IT support for the company's 150+ employees.

Left the organization after successful spinoff to pursue Master's degree at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
