Education
My Major Research Project investigated how analog hobbies, specifically photography, are increasingly used to combat a rapidly increasing media environment. The resulting short film was presented at the Art Gallery of Ontario's Jackman Hall. I received an Ontario Graduate Fellowship for both years of this program, covering a majority of my tuition fees.
This program required taking at least one, often two courses in every discipline offered by the Fine Arts department. Later, I began to specialize in analog photography and photo history, while still continuing to take practical courses and lectures in design. I also did design work for the school paper, faculty of fine arts promotion, and student clubs. I graduated this program with Great Distinction and was nominated for the Faculty of Fine Arts Gold Medal.

This book documented newly built skateparks in western Canada. It focuses on the change in public perception; skateparks as places for community building rather than a neighborhood nuisance. The travel was funded a scholarship from the Roloff Beny Foundation, the publishing costs were successfully crowdfunded through a Kickstarter Campaign. 10% of the profits were donated to the charity Right to Play.
Work Experience
I direct projects or sub-contract for other agencies through my sole-proprietorship dansch studio. My work primarily involves creating motion design systems and templates for live events, short films, online courses, and promotional material.
This role involved assisting in the instruction of an advanced studio lighting for photography course.
Over several months I worked in-house with the marketing director to create assets for the sales department, internal presentations, larger campaigns for trade shows, and merchandise.
This role was specific to producing all the photography and design for a promotional catalog for the Faculty of Fine Arts as well as other printed promotional materials.
