Wanting to make the web more ethical, improve health systems and applications. Impactful design is a goal and a must have.
Looking for opportunities in all areas, but with an extra eye for those in health-tech.
About
I’m a designer and founder based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Most recently I work as a Lead Product Designer at Uniscale. On the side I run a small Design Agency on my own.
Prior to that I was working as a Product Designer at PatientSky where I helped manage and grow the design system, and worked on both the core product and 0-1 initiatives on the expansion to Finland and the new mobile app.
Before that I was a part of the development team at Flyhjaelp where I worked on the website and internal dashboards for better consumer rights in Scandinavia.
Work Experience
Company start : Part of the core 3 people that created the initial company product. Spent 1 year iterating between high level concepts, sketches, iterations on none / large amounts of data to stress test every conceptual part of the product. Created the 1.0 in the shape of a comprehensive highly animated Figma prototype with over 5000 animations points.
Horizon Design System : a comprehensive 3000+ components and variants, tokens , styles and iconography elements.
Full website redesign and implementation in Webflow. Video and graphic media production for usage in the website, slide decks, marketing materials and Help Center.
Content writing on help center articles and technical specifications on the product, with focus on documenting UI & UX behaviours, as well as the many crucial details to translate the UI into highly polished Code.
Introduced a UI QA step in the Dev process where I would approve the new features in term of Look, Feel and Behaviour.
Jumped in as the previous designer left a year prior and had to pickup the remains of the designs ever since. My main task was to organise and centralise the design initiatives that the many Product owners have done in the meantime. Main projects
Heartbeat Design System - massive update to bring up to date, expand and further develop with proper sync to the code base in Storybook
Constant new features development with research into Health Standards with focus for the Norwegian and Finnish Market
Gather all the media, illustrations, and graphics under one single design direction
Complete overhaul of the icon system & kickstarted the mobile app design system and research
I started as a junior developer, expanded my knowledge and became a Full stack developer in the MERN Laravel & Vue stack. At the time there was no assigned Designer in the team, and considering my education, I saw an opportunity for me to further develop myself. Thus, I was also the Designer in my team, being in charge of all the process of research, creating prototypes, sketches and mockups.
Projects
Complete redesign and implementation from ground up of the website. From Figma sketches, mocks, prototypes to full implementation in Webflow with some animation JS libraries.
This allowed me to re-engage back into coding and front end styling by establishing a thorough component setup for all the sections of the website to allow easy re-organisations or layout changes in the future.
The website was made modular in layout so it allowed our marketing team to run it successfully by themselves in term of creating new pages.
With the product's launch to a broader market, I took the task to create teasers, explainer videos, and product walkthroughs, while also animating various concepts in an easy-to-understand format. I primarily used Figma and Spline, pushing myself to find effective solutions within these tools.
Additionally, I established a Media Resources Library (MRL), which includes intros, outro animations, slide decks, illustrations, and graphics. This comprehensive library was designed for easy access and future use by other team members, streamlining the production of media assets.
A full makeover of the Design System from the old company ( Heartbeat ) to fit and match the needs of the newly made company and product.
Heartbeat was limited due to the product regulations, and with Horizon, I managed to apply all the learnings and notes we have gathered from using it. It was a great success for the team and has now received 4 new revisions, each adding tokens, better colour semantics, completely thought through components in sync between the Figma Library and the React Library.
I completely rebuilt the design system from the ground up, addressing several critical issues that had developed over time.
One of the primary challenges was the need for a proper versioning system. Due to legacy issues, various product modules and POs were using different versions of the design system, which required consolidation.
Additionally, I improved the documentation, focusing on ease of access and usability for the team. Text styles were fully refactored for responsiveness, including the introduction of mobile support and compatibility with our mobile app.
The system had seen limited usage because it wasn't aligned with the latest Figma features, which had led to broken component functionality. By updating the system, I ensured it was more reliable and better integrated with current design tools and processes.
Side Projects
Implemented a internal website refresh using the internal setup in Handlebars.
Volunteering
Tutoring at KEA provided an excellent opportunity for me to deepen my knowledge by sharing it with others, particularly during my final year of studies. In this role, I worked closely with students across various stages of the same educational program, assisting them with school projects, clarifying complex topics, and helping them strengthen their understanding.
