Arguments Monetized

Context: TruStory, The Debate Catalyst

TruStory set out with a noble cause: fostering productive, open-minded discourse on the internet. We believed in the power of the crowd to unravel the truth in contentious debates, and as our first test subject, we tackled the manifold issues surrounding Ethereum - its scaling, culture, roadmap, and fundraising.

The Team: A Collective Quest for Truth

Our expedition was led by an eclectic team:

  • Daniel Kuh - UI/UX, Animation, Video, Graphic Design, Branding

  • Amir Latif - Developer

  • Ted Piotrowski - Developer

  • Shane Vitarana - Lead Developer

The Twist: Encountering Subjective Waters

Post-launch, our ship sailed into unexpected waters. Instead of concrete claims, we found users engaging in debates where no clear 'right or wrong' existed. This intrigued us - perhaps our platform's true potential lay in hosting discussions around major unanswered questions and ideas, rather than definitive claims.

The Transformation: From Debate to Investment

Our realization birthed a new ambition for TruStory. It evolved from a mere debate platform to a unique space where users could discuss issues and invest their TRU (our cryptocurrency) into conversations they resonated with. Essentially, we were turning debates into a form of intellectual investment.

The Outcome: A Platform for the Open-Minded

Despite the unexpected twists and turns, our team was successful in creating a platform that not only encourages healthy debates but also lets users support discussions with their TRU. TruStory, today, stands as a testament to the power of open-minded discourse and the potential of integrating it with crypto investment.

Unfortunately, due to NDA circumstances, I am not allowed to publicly share the details of this project. Instead, here are the responsibilities in detail:

  1. I started the product design from scratch and created a basic, yet powerful version of the product (an MVP). This design was so impressive it drew in top engineers from big-name companies to join our project.

  2. I worked closely with our CEO to figure out who the main people interested in our product would be. Their feedback helped shape the product's direction, making everyone satisfied during the testing phase.

  3. I used design principles that focus on making the app easy and enjoyable for users, reducing the number of screens in the MVP by 25% and making the user experience significantly better.

  4. I put systems in place to make the product development process more efficient and consistent, making the app more flexible to changes in direction if needed.

  5. I used information about user behavior and market research to make design decisions, ensuring the product effectively met user needs and market expectations, leading to users being completely satisfied.
