I approached the world of design quite casually. I was about 12-13 years old when, one day, I decided to try *Adobe XD* on my father's computer. I don't know exactly how it happened, but from that moment on, design became a hobby. When I was then allowed to use social media, I started to discover and follow many pages that posted prototypes and application concepts.

What I know today I have learnt mainly through practice. I never delved too deeply into the theoretical part, always preferring doing to learning from books. However, a few months ago, when I was trying to get into a major design school, I came up against a harsh reality: the amount of theory required was immense and difficult to recover in just one month of preparation with the help of a simple textbook.

The theory I had to study was not only about art history, but also ‘design history’. The textbook covered everything from the birth of design during the first industrial revolution to the present day, endlessly listing works and designers to memorise, often without any visual support.

Among the few pages I managed to read, I discovered the names and faces behind objects that until then I had looked at superficially. I realised how crucial it is to know at least the basics of art and the early designers and architects to enrich one's designs and creativity. It is not possible to know every designer in the world, but it is important to know who created the ‘designer’ figure itself.

During my search, I did not find a website as I had imagined. However, I did discover some sites that sold really well-curated books, authentic works of art to keep in the studio.

It is from that need that **[Creative Minds Archive](https://creativemindsarchive.xyz)** was born: an archive to share content-rich books and help anyone build a culture in this beautiful and vast world of design.

Design Your Culture

Today there are **millions** of **different** **applications** and software to manage and track one's habits, some more engaging than others. *Traveler's* idea is to combine the user experience of a video game with an application, making our "to-do lists" something concretely "**heavy**". In fact, our to-do lists and task lists will be items that weigh down our character.

The concept is to create a simple user experience but one that pushes with some details to performing as many things to do as possible.

In the foreground we have a character, it is equipped with

1. **A backpack**, which represents the list of things we **could** and **would** do and **future** **tasks**, as the list increases the backpack will become increasingly "heavy."

2. **Items in hand**, represent the list of things to be done TODAY, however, if I fail to accomplish everything by the end of the day these things will add up on the next day's list creating additional weight.

The weight is very important because our character will respond to the excessive load, not only textually but also visually, as our character will show fatigue when we have too many things we should and would like to do but have not yet accomplished. This character is the point of the idea, as if representing the weight of the tasks we are accumulating. Nothing is left to chance, as are the messages that tell us ail our character indicating his state of mind and tiredness."

The **other details** that serve to stimulate the user are the timers, above the character is placed a clock that shows the time, but not only that, it also shows the hours until the end of the day to show the very time the user has left to complete the day's list.

As seen in the prototype it does not present many functions, because the focus is on solving the task, I personally find app or software that are overly full of functions to be confusing or lead to distraction for those who are more " techies."\
In fact you can add a **title** and add **tasks**, on the right will be stored (as far as **Backpack** is concerned) the **day of creation**.

At the top we have the titles to create task categories and below all are the tasks performed, important to note that next to each category is indicated the number of tasks there are, this is useful regarding very long lists. \
