I joined Ally as the first full-time hire in the US and over the next two and a half years, lead design of the product and built a design team. We were acquired by Microsoft in 2021.

I co-founded an app called Thaw with the goal of helping people feel less lonely in the world. We saw some success and learned a ton, but in the end we weren't able to turn it into a sustainable business.

I spent three years running my own design consultancy helping early stage startups ship and iterate on their products. Things I loved: learning to run a business, working on a wide breadth of projects, and being solely responsible for my own success or failure. Things I missed: being able to focus completely and go really deep on a single project over a long period of time.
