PR Specialist at Microsoft Italy. In this period I had the chance to pursue all the activities I did in the year as a trainee. I had improved my skills and networks together with the relationship with the Italian Media day by day, also reaching directly top key journalists and bloggers.
I had the chance to follow all Microsoft business units in their press activities (Client, Mobile, Information Worker, Server and Tools, Development, Online) being involved in engaging media relations to obtain the correct message position both on press clippings and products launch press meetings. Not to mention the fact that I have a strong visibility on Microsoft Italy GM activities in particular focusing on Cloud Computing and Blogosphere. Since September 2009 I have been in charge of Server and Tools and DPE PR activities here in Italy as PR Manager in substitution of a maternity leave, engaging with Italian tech press, organizing focused events and leveraging Business Unit manager profiles within the dedicated Press.
Focusing on the Blogosphere, in February 2008 we launched a Blogging platform for the Italian Microsoft employees www.mclips.it where any Italian Microsoft employee has the chance to post anything he wants about his work experience through text, images and above all videos that I personally shoot. I was the owner of this project which let Microsoft Italy to have a deeper conversation with the Bloggers’ world starting to express itself, for the first time, in proactive way speaking their “language”. Thanks to this project Microsoft Italy won the gold medal in the PR Newshound award in 2008 as best Digital PR activity during Microsoft Worldwide PR Summit. In addition to that I supported the team in organizing Steve Ballmer and other Corp. VP visits in Italy and taking care of organizational aspects of our everyday PR events.

Stage at Microsoft Italy PR Team during this year I have had the opportunity to put in practice my Universities teachings and to develop my skills. I have learned what the teamwork organization is, the unique opportunity to share my ideas in cooperation with the others, how to act under pressure and fulfill the objectives assigned. I have experienced how to manage relationships with Italian Media (both journalists and blogosphere), how a launch event has been managed and organized (Windows Vista and Office 2007, i.e.) and how technology is and will be the key to realize people’s full potential. Last but not least, I have been input in the list of Bloggers at Microsoft Italy.
