I genuinely love and thrive being a strong and reliable second to all the great firsts. :)
I enjoy and am skilled in support or coordination work, collaborating with other Project Managers/Leaders to ensure deliverables are met. In line with that, I am now expanding that to:
- Virtual assistant support (freelance), especially for content creators, people and communities.
Above all, I'm passionate about creating a better workplace for myself and others, which includes (but is not limited to) being mindful of mental health and creating a (safe) space for others to be brave.

It's just a fun little project I started in 2014 to collect addresses and send handwritten letters to friends, family and loved ones.
It is my little way to give people that feeling of receiving something heartwarming and also, that little anticipation to getting something tangible in the postbox.

I was part of this video/capsule documentary series by Kapsul Studio featuring different Malaysians talking about their thoughts and experiences.
I shared about growing up in Malaysia as a Chinese who questions her identity as Chinese, has a different experience, and doesn't speak the main (Chinese) lingua franca, Mandarin.
A 7 piece creative collective that includes Kasih Azhar, Mimi Jamal, Nani Zul and Connie Khong alongside the co-founders, Lizzie Zany, Lylatul Qadrina and Jipa, kekabumi will help you tell your story.
Storytelling is an art of its own. Painting a picture/scene in one’s mind, and letting the plot flow through with words while conveying emotions, isn’t an easy feat. But kekabumi does it effortlessly.

Volunteering
Provided event support (mostly backstage) for the 18th BOH Cameronian Arts Awards
I was one of the seminar assistants who encouraged high school Japanese students to practice English. We had different theme topics as prompts to encourage conversations.
This program was under the Ishikawa Prefectural Board of Education to match international students to local high school students to encourage mutual cultural exchange and exposure.
I was one of the selected volunteer citizen-delegates (Malaysia) in The People's United Nations (pUN) General Assembly, which took place at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa.
It was an experimental gathering by Mexican artist Pedro Reyes. He was testing his hypothesis that conflict-resolution techniques used in social psychology, theatre, and art help solve the world's most challenging problems, from climate change to food shortages.
Education
I major in East Asian Studies, specializing in Japanese Studies. I also took some electives in Anthropology & Sociology as well as Gender Studies.
Grade: Year 3
I spent 2 semesters (about 10 months) in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan under this Student Exchange Program.
Aside from brushing up on my Japanese Language skills (from intensive beginner course to pre-intermediate level), I also got to take various other subjects and classes on Japan's politics and culture.
