About
For over 20 years I’ve been designing and producing user interfaces for digital experiences across a wide array of platforms and clients. If it’s ever been on a screen, I’ve probably designed something for it. I’ve spent the last several years deep diving into design system philosophy and becoming a Figma expert and evangelist. Now I’m looking to put my years of experience to work as a product design lead and creative team leader.
Projects
As the creative lead at TrueChoice solutions I redesigned their user experience from the group up. Using atomic design principles and responsive web best-practices I created a framework for their app that allows for quick “reskinning” and deployment at scale. These are just a few of the examples created while developing the new app experience.

Side Projects
My youngest brother was diagnosed with cancer at age 19 and he died at 22 in 2005. I designed this LP around some of his music, using self-portraits he took.
Most of the US state flags are notoriously terrible in design. I’ve always loved the simplicity, elegance, and consistency across the whole set, of the Japanese prefecture flags. This is my attempt to give the US states a makeover in that style.

Created Figma layouts for TakeForm, retrofitting designs from a previous team and developing a component library simultaneously while delivering home page, interior pages, and product pages under tight deadlines
Evangelized design systems and Figma optimization for responsive website and mobile apps

Redesigned the UX/UI for both Gillette and Venus’s web sites to enter into the direct-to-consumer subscription market and optimized for mobile conversions, where the largest such retailers generated more than $2.6 billion in sales in 2016
Led the charge for the entire creative department (8 print art directors) to transition to digital tools (Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Figma, Adobe XD) to design responsive experiences
Developed bi-monthly training sessions on Figma and design system best practices, as well as individual mentorship and support
Reported to Chief Creative Officer and managed the digital design team of 4, to focus on web, mobile, and touch applications.
