### Mental health is a significant topic in New Zealand's community and a rise in conversation due to COVID-19's impacts on our mental health with lifestyle changes. However, mental health in Asian culture was generally, never discussed or even acknowledged due to cultural stigmas, stereotypes, beliefs, and lack of education within Asian households, especially among parents.

### **How can a story-sharing platform empower & unite a community of young Asian females in NZ?**

### Many young Asian females living in New Zealand struggle to find a close community to share personal experiences and challenges with people of similar cultural backgrounds.

### This project was a creative brief aimed to design, produce and present an empowering human-centred start-up in Auckland. I wanted to tackle a wicked problem experienced personally as a young Asian female myself alongside my peers through my role and practice as a UX designer.
