Work Experience
Working on improving MTTR, MTBF, MTTD, Security and cost per GB.
- Migrated from DigitalOcean to Google Cloud Platform, adding autoscaling, removing custom load balancers and other improvements
- Migrated from custom deploy scripts to deploying on Kubernetes
- Replaced monitoring stack, from Nagios to Prometheus/Thanos
- Improved security with VPC and VPN
- Migrated all infrastructure to Terraform
- Simplified and automated several procedures
- Wrote a Kubernetes Operator to abstract things, so our users can deploy their intelligent apps to our platform
- Introduced post mortems to the team
- Continuous work on resizing and automating things
- Continuous work on improving availability
Worked mostly improving MTTR, MTBF, MTTD and cost per tenant.
To do that, I introduced Kubernetes and did a lot of improvements on the CI/CD pipeline - both for speed and correctness. This also reduced the cost per tenant.
I also replaced and improved the entire monitoring stack and wrote lots of alert rules and even custom Prometheus exporters to achieve what was needed.
There was a continuous work on improving the costs of infrastructure. This involved resizing machines, auto scaling groups, spot instances, backup policies and several other things.
Developing features and fixing bugs using the eXtremely Distributed Software Development (XDSD) methodology in both open source and closed source projects.
Developing new features, fixing bugs and improving existing code.
Also developed the new "electronic invoice" (NF-e) engine from scratch to production. This product issues ~50K NF-e every month and was successfully used as "framework" to build other products.
Working in the ECM innovation team, researching and implementing new technologies to made a better product.
