About
I'm a versatile product designer who has dabbled in a range of industries and platforms for over 15 years. I thrive on thoughtful but action-oriented, cross-functional teams that take things not-too-seriously.

Projects
Asana supports a wide range of use cases, but lacked key features to be the tool of choice for customers with ticketing workflows, like HR or IT helpdesks. I partnered with a PM and researcher to visualize – in high fidelity – how Asana should evolve, expand and prioritize initiatives across the company to support these jobs.
The core element of Asana, tasks, had accumulated "cruft" over the years and the team struggled to build momentum. I designed a suite of solutions to modernize and de-clutter the task pane and helped the team kickstart a process to experiment and iterate towards a neater, more functional experience.
Asana portfolios weren't built to scale for large organizations, and hindered customers' ability to grow with the tool and our ability to deploy new features. I redesigned the core view, addressing the unique needs of Portfolio users with coherent, a11y-compliant UI patterns.
Riders were unable to easily provide the feedback they wanted without manual entry or costly support flows. I led design to refresh the feedback experience (known as "Rate & Pay") to collect more actionable feedback, especially around health and safety during the height of the pandemic.
Successful communication between riders & drivers was integral to pickup success for Lyft. I designed a series of improvements and experiments to improve call and text flows, ultimately launching native in-app chat.
Location sharing was opaque to riders, and misleading to drivers. I designed improvements for both sides of the equation by refreshing presentation of on-map presence and creating a clearer opt-in flow for background location sharing.
BuzzFeed quizzes were wildly popular, but taking quizzes on the BF App was a dull and clunky web view. I worked with a team to optimize for native mobile experience, creating engaging formats and interactions that scaled for a range of editorial and user-generated content.
Before the New York Times app we know and love existed, BuzzFeed News was there with a mobile-first approach to curation. I designed new formats to support the newsroom and a cross-platform design system for faster and consistent delivery.

Work Experience
I'm leading design for Weather. Previously, I drove the first design mentorship program at Yahoo and designed a strategic vision for Yahoo Shopping.
I started as an embedded designer for search and portfolios. I was then promoted into IC leadership roles, mentoring designers, raising the quality bar, and taking on whitespace projects.
I worked on solving problems for passengers around the pickup and in-ride experiences, and successfully advocated for deeper investment into driver-rider communication, resulting in the launch of in-app chat.
I designed and prototyped a range of experiences like BuzzFeed quizzes, the BF News app, and even smart home devices for Tasty.
Kitchensurfing was a startup to bring personal chefs into your home. I created designs to support growth initiatives and experiments, core product features on web and mobile, and back-of-house tooling.
Product design for mobile (web, iOS, and Android) and nascent platforms (like Amazon Fire TV and Microsoft Surface).
A great place to start my career. I learned how to communicate effectively and design for a range of form factors. I worked on teams supporting clients like GE, Nokia, and Ernst & Young.
