About

Brianna Ammons is a creative studying at the University of San Francisco.

She’s currently bettering her career by creating print and digital material for the University of San Francisco’s Student leadership and engagement Office (SLE) and the University of San Francisco’s Residence Hall Association (RHA).

She loves learning and experimenting with new techniques; constantly evolving her design skills and process. She’s excited by all things related to artistic exploration and self-betterment.

This project is a website fully coded by myself. It was made with the intent to introduce artist Chia Amisola, as well as some of their art, to the rest of the world.

Awards

2021

The annual Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference & program was established in 1999 to honor Al Neuharth, founder of The Freedom Forum and USA TODAY. The conference is designed to inspire and encourage students to pursue journalism. Today there are more than 1,500 “Free Spirits” including journalists working for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, ESPN and network-affiliated TV stations.

Student Marketing Assistant at Student Leadership and Engagement (SLE)
San Francisco, CA

The University of San Francisco's Student Leadership and Engagement Office strives to support students' leadership development and promote student engagement in co-curricular activities.

During my time there I:

  • Created marketing plans to promote department events attended by 50+ students.

  • Utilized social media to promote both department and student organization events.

  • Created promotional material in the form of posters, instagram grid and story posts, and sticker sheets.

2022 — 2023

The University of San Francisco's Black Achievement Success and Engagement (BASE) initiative provides a foundation for students to grow, learn, discover, and thrive. By offering high-impact academic and extracurricular programs that center on the unique and yet varied experiences of students of African descent, BASE equips students with the knowledge, resources, skills, and support necessary to turn their dreams into reality.

During my time there I:

  • Raised program awareness on campus by creating promotional material for programs.

  • Assisted in the planning of events attended by dozens of students.

2021 — 2022

  • Provided excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting with online pickups and purchases

  • Assisted customers in their shopping experience by personally escorting customers to sections, locating merchandise, and explaining promotional events and deals

  • Maintained store appearance by putting away store merchandise and performing upkeep on displays
