Art Director & Designer at 4th Street Steering Committee

• Created the 104th Street brand (4th Street) which consists of a logo, street banners, branded metal bike racks, magazine ads, website, promotional flyers and posters, etc.
• Helped in positioning 104th Street as the gateway to the new Rogers Arena and the entertainment ICE District.
• Major roles include creative design and execution of logos, marketing materials, magazine ads, website, art directing photo shoots, way-finding, meetings, presentations, etc.

MAJOR PROJECTS INCLUDE:

// CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
Created the Centennial logo for the celebration of 104th Street Promenade's street history, along with informational posters and flyers that were placed on the nine heritage buildings that are currently on the Register of Historic Resources's “A” list. A full street closure and block party also was part of the celebration.

// PURPLE FLAG INITIATIVE
Responsible Hospitality Edmonton (RHE), aims to promote safe, thriving, late-night environments in Edmonton by planning, managing and policing the many aspects of hospitality zones throughout the city. RHE engaged the Association of Town Center Management (ATCM) group in the United Kingdom (UK) to bring the accreditation program, Purple Flag to Edmonton. ATCM has accredited over 60 town centers in the UK and Europe. Edmonton’s 104th Street District was the first Purple Flag accredited community in North America.

// ALFRESCO - ANNUAL CELEBRATION & FUNDRAISER
Al Fresco a celebration and a grassroots fundraiser designed to bring the 104th St. Community together by uniting everyone in support of a great cause. The event included Pancake Breakfast, Farmers’ Market, a “Kids Zone”, run in cooperation with the City of Edmonton, a "Tasting Lot” to sample 90 different types of wine, beer and spirits, extended patios from your favorite restaurants and wine bars, music from a lineup of great DJs and stage performers, fashion and drag shows, and even an armada of food trucks.

Ryan is a former mentor to a little seven-year-old boy named Bradley. He mentored him for a little over two and a half years, helping him develop his social and reading skills as well as his overall confidence which resulted in Bradley overcoming many social anxieties, fear of being in large groups of physically aggressive boys and speaking in front of his classmates as well at his Mother's birthday where he wrote and read a loving message to his Mother in front of a room filled with his family (which was unthinkable prior).
