Last year, I was interviewed for the position of Product Designer at Muz, to help design a new feature for the company’s flagship product. The feature was set to be designed to help new matches get to know each other faster.

Muzz is a dating app for Muslim folks looking to meet each other, it has over 6 million active users and growing, as a product designer I was going to potentially design a successful feature for millions of users I was really excited to start working on it and potentially land a job at Muzz.

The initial days on the job can be overwhelming. I’ve been in your shoes and understand the doubts that come with starting a new job. It’s natural to feel like you don’t belong or that others may know more than you do. But that’s not true. This is what’s known as imposter syndrome and it can affect anyone, regardless of their skill level or experience.
