These awards are made annually in memory of Paula Rhodes, mother of the College’s founder. The award honors Master’s degree candidates, whose work is deemed exceptional by their chair.
Bill is a rare example of a student who is as committed to promoting excellence within the graphic design program and throughout the college as he is in his own work. He is a GD Studio Manager and is constantly seeking feedback from his fellow students and sharing it with program leadership. He is one of seven GD students who was chosen for the inaugural class of TBD*, our new student design studio that does real design work on behalf of Bay Area nonprofits. At the beginning of 2017, Bill and an IxD student hosted a successful film screening and discussion that was a major draw for students and faculty from across the design division. He was an avid participant in Secret Project.
