Polly Wales is a design house whose one-of-a-kind, Cast-not-Set, fine jewellery defies the status-quo without restraint. Their philosophy is rooted in empowering everyone to joyously embrace rebellion; they believe the objects they make should be worn and enjoyed, period.

What started as a single ask for updated website copy became a lovely, lasting partnership. Working directly with Polly and Sales Manager Lia Beauchemin, we crafted a brand positioning platform to direct all future brand communications—email campaigns, social media announcements, an employee handbook, and a net-new website to name a few activations.

2022

DoubleRainbow Biosciences is a sustainable healthcare company that harnesses the power of nature to create pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals that advance the health of people and the planet. After One Design crafted the DoubleRainbow brand, their team asked us to do the same—and more—for their first consumer-facing product brand. Together, we created a positioning strategy, company name, extendible product naming architecture, visual identity system, packaging design program, ecommerce website, and social media campaign to launch a comprehensive consumer retail experience.

2021

Arts Workers United (AWU) is a lobbying organization focused on building awareness of and support for members of the creative class and their critical impact on the national economy. Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, AWU works to ensure local and national government support for this critical—and often overlooked—sector of the working class. I led campaign copy and content tools that promote interactivity and establish urgency. From headlines on a bus shelter to editorial content on posters, economic statistics about the arts married with statements of impact balanced directness with thoughtfulness and compassion.

Wilder Fields is a technology-enabled food company vertically-growing greens in Calumet City that prioritize exceptional flavor, texture, and cleanliness all while positively impacting our communities and our planet. Formerly known as Backyard Fresh Farms, I was able to help craft the Wilder Fields brand from start to finish.

Distant is a vibrant, vulnerable digital community that inspires easy-going exchange. Composed of a diverse set of makers, artists, and creatives—industry, years of experience, POV, and career ambitions considered—it’s a space where people can learn from others and learn with others. Find new potential collaborators. Develop friends to lean on. And all possible while we can’t connect IRL, now and whenever that remains true in the future.

Responsibilities include leading client-facing brand research, strategy, and positioning endeavors as both a strategist and a writer. This involves external interviews, synthesis, competitive audit and analysis, brand positioning (internal and external), and naming. Previously responsible for the majority of internal communications, including One's weekly newsletter, marketing materials, as well as branded blog and social media posts.

Managing Editor at MOUTHWASH
Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities include curating the writing contributions, editing and proofing the publication, as well as assisting project management for MOUTHWASH Magazine. Also contributed to the MOUTHWASH Journal, writing personality profiles on various creatives in the Los Angeles area.
