HRV and Wearables at Fittr, Inc.

Using inter-beat interval measurements from wearable devices, such as the Apple Watch, resolve users' daily HRV score for the day to help advise the type of workout, recovery, or other activities they should be tackling for the day. Whether it be an all-out personal-record breaking workout, or a recovery day, with HRV data the users would be able to get the most tailored plan for their day. The project included working with the engineering, product, and design teams to generate the HRV scores within their app, to connect with other providers like Spren, and also began talks with various builders to create custom wearable hardware for HRV and other measurements.

2022

An art game where players grow a tree over time in a glass terrarium environment underwater. The earth is in a post apocalyptic state, where the only place anything can grow is under the protection of the deep sea. The terrariums have certain controls for temperature, air mixtures, seasons and more which affect the tree's growth, which is in turn determined by it's seed's genetic code. This genetic code is encrypted as a NFT on the blockchain, and the timeline of environmental factors are also minted into the blockchain to take a snapshot in time. The marketplace is used to trade terrarium equipment for different types of environmental controls, as well as buy/sell/trading produce from the trees, including new seeds. The whole game is governed by seed holders in a DAO, and the marketplace is inclusive of third party game objects, as well as a place for third party entities to license anything from the game for anything else.

This is currently under development and built using Unity and utilizes Ethereum, IPFS, and other technologies.

2021
Shepherd

Created a Flutter app that can encrypt (AES-256) any type of file and store it on IPFS/Filecoin for free. It could be run on any device.

Originally it was built as a Ruby on Rails web-app, with a traditional Postresql backend, but shifted to a more web3 and platform inclusive app.

2020

Joined the Healthi Team as the VP of Product/CTO to rebuild the product team with former co-founders of Priime, Joe and Andrew. Hired lead designer, designers, senior mobile engineers, QA engineers, devops, project/product managers. Also helped build the marketing team, registered dietitian team, and more.

Focused on product stabilization and growth. The tech required an overhaul and stabilization, which was done with zero impact to the business and set the product up for long-term success. Modernized the user experience, design, and interface. Worked on development and project processes, team culture, and maintained the highest level of product quality.

Worked on product growth through user research, industry research, and product prototyping and testing.

2019

Created an e-commerce store and test result interface for Million Marker from scratch. Leveraged Ruby on Rails and best security practices to create a modern e-commerce site with payments through Stripe, interfacing with a medical testing lab for fulfillment and tracking, and finally delivering lab test results to end-users.

2018
PRM Protocol at Priime

Developed the PRM Protocol whitepaper from scratch. This protocol is built on the Ethereum blockchain, and maintains proof of ownership through phash indexing, staking, and a modified Token-Curated-Registry mechanic that incentivized good behavior. I worked through all legal considerations with our legal counsel to ensure SEC compliance or future compliance, raised a small private token pre-sale, and worked with leading blockchain experts to proofread and ensure it's validity and usefulness.

2014

For Land Rover's latest campaign, I worked on their nationally televised commercial by producing and shooting the stills portion of the television commercial and other marketing collateral.

2014

Developed a highly responsive and powerful RAW photo editing process on the iOS' new Metal technology, that could render CIFilter changes 10x faster than the leading competitors by using Metal and avoiding the GPU to CPU bottleneck. Supported editing actual RAW images up to 150 megapixels with render times of less than 100ms on even an iPhone SE.

2013

I photographed Land Rover's flagship car in Iceland for their latest marketing campaign. The premise was "a road less traveled" and was focusing on the idea of being more tangible and relatable to the target audience.

2013
Prime Project

A photo discovery and consumption tool that would learn what photos are interesting to the viewer at that time, and surface more of that type of content. Content pulled from photographers that were followed already on Flickr, but also a few degrees deep of other followers of those you follow. Fully built with Ruby on Rails and JQuery, it allowed for quick and beautiful viewing, fast commenting and liking, and was the "go to" consumption of Flickr photos. It eventually went on to become the start of Priime, though the ultimate product changed.

2010
Live Sport Notifications at Fanvibe

Created live stat push notifications for live sport events that would update users on iPhone. The notifications came faster and more accurately than any other sport app out there. The notifications included both stats and other information, including personalized messages that included the person's interest, favorite players, rivalries, fantasy games, as well as news that would be relevant to friends and family. This was built on a custom backend system built with ruby, rabbitmq, and other technology.

2008
Blog by Email at Yardbarker

Created a blogging system from scratch on a Ruby on Rails product, which included posting blog posts via email. It was used by professional athletes and media outlets.

2007
Bluetooth Authentication

Unlock/Lock a Windows workstation using proximity of a bluetooth device, such as the Trello phone. Worked closely with the WIDCOMM bluetooth stack.

2006
Skinnable Multifactor Auth Token Generator for Windows at Secure Computing

Created a windows app that would generate a One-Time-password for multi-factor authentication that was run on any Windows machine. This was fully customizable as a white-labled solution.
