About

Hiii!

I am Arpan Pandey, a fresh high school graduate from the Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan. I work and have worked in several roles in tech for 4 years, these include tech events planning, software writing, managing teams of developers, graphic designing, moderation of tech communities and much, much more.

I have worked at Hack Club; the awesomest place on the internet for teen hackers (not the ones you're thinking, we just tinker around and make stuff from other stuff); for about 2 years now in many roles. I have written software like the Club Directory, Internal voting websites, Open AI gateway, and guides for Hack Club Jams. Furthermore, I onboard new Hack Club leaders from all over the world and them to feel at home inside Hack Club and bring out the best version of themselves and their high school Hack Clubs. I also provide constant support to leaders and other hack clubbers to help them with their club and tech journeys at large.

I am also the Director of the Special Activities Division at Hack Club, there we plan awesome events, game nights, cryptic hunts, pizza nights and a myriad of other super cool events. We are running the largest Hack Club event ever called Arcade which has even been sponsored by GitHub, where we give awesome prizes to hack clubbers for shipping their even cooler projects. We also work to detect fraud, provide help, conduct investigations etc.

I also am an avid open-source developer who loves working on and contributing to all sorts of projects. I have also won various open source hackathons and blogathons. Apart from all these, I also serve as a Student member of the US Technical Policy Committee of the ACM among other NGOs that I help manage technical things for.

We, the SAD, plan awesome virtual events on the Hack Club Slack, amongst many other things. We have run pizza nights for hack clubbers around the world, cipher puzzles that lead you all over the internet and then back to awesome prizes, UNO nights and a plethora of events. We are also helping run Hack Club's biggest virtual event and, the Hack Club Arcade, in which participants can work on their own technical or creative projects and get awesome prizes for shipping them, prizes include things like MacBooks, Framework laptops, iPads, and a whole range of awesome stuff. Furthermore, we also work to investigate and catch identity and financial fraud.

I work to support Hack Clubs throughout APAC and Europe, especially India. This involved onboarding new club leaders to Hack Club, getting them acquainted with the tools we provide, and providing constant support for anything they could need. I also ship stickers, posters, tools etc for all Hack Clubs pan-India. I also write software and guides for clubs like the Hack Club Directory, Open AI Gateway, Hack Club Jams and much much more.
