Japanese Gyoza Packaging Design

For a restaurant chain's retail launch of Japanese dumplings, I designed packaging inspired by manga, anime, and vibrant Japanese culture. The chef is the main character, with a chibi version on the back providing cooking instructions.

Hippo Dumplings Packaging Design

For the children's dumpling line "Hippo Friends," I created a packaging concept where each hippo reflects the filling—beef dumplings have a cow-spotted hippo, and cherry ones show the hippo surrounded by filling.

The design is playful and functional:

The hippo's face and colors resonate with parents, reminding them of their child.
The filling is instantly recognizable, and clear cooking instructions are prominent.

This design balances fun and practicality for families.
