About

Currently founding product designer at @Rasayel
Previously designed @join-remi @citizenlab @centralapp

Work Experience

2022 — Now
Remote

Rasayel is a true omnichannel platform for your business. Connect with your customers on all their social media and chat channels. I'm joining Rasayel as a founding product designer to help the product team bring the UX to the next level.

2021 — 2022
Remote

At Remi, I helped move out of a prototype state to develop a language system that can support upcoming needs. I learned how to narrow the scope of what I’m doing to the minimum so I can get further validation on the solutions at hand.

  • Redesigned and iterated on all key pages and components of the product to support our OKRs
  • Helped identify pain points, explored and validated solutions
  • Moved away from MVP look and feel
  • Build the foundation for a design system (colors, sizes, components, grid system, etc)
2017 — 2021
Brussels, Belgium

CitizenLab helps local governments around the world to make better-informed decisions. CitizenLab continuously and automatically crowdsources, moderate & analyze your citizens' inputs. As a founding designer, I help design a product that helped us grow from 4,000 MAU to 150,000 and more than 150 customers worldwide. At CitizenLab, I developed important skills such as UX research (usability, discovery) and learned how to collaborate with a team of PMs, engineers, and UX professionals.

  • Designed and help successfully push all key features (Ideation, Insights Processing, Citizen Proposals, Participatory Budgeting, etc)
  • Was the only designer working with +15 engineers for 3 years where we leveraged the UX to become a USP
  • Redesign the brand with our marketing team including logotype, and multiple redesigns of our website.
  • Researched product opportunities with our product team and was in charge of usability testing
2016 — 2017
Brussels, Belgium

CentralApp enables local businesses to get found online by updating their information on all major listings, maps, and social networks (such as Facebook, Foursquare, Google, Yelp, and many others).

As the only designer at CentralApp, I helped redesign the 2nd version of the web app hand in hand with the head of product and CTO. In addition, I collaborated with our CEO to rework our brand and update our key brand assets (logo, website, etc).

Side Projects

2009

Iconic Matter was a marketing company focused on targeting students through product placement. By developing our brand identity, I helped leverage our revenue from 0€/year to 150,000€/year and distribute 200,000 free goodies to students.

Education

2009 — 2012
Degree in Print Design at Don Bosco
Brussels, Belgium

As part of my earlier education was Print Design, I learned everything about typography, colors, and layout. Today, these bits of knowledge allow me to understand how to play with different moving pieces to improve usability and ergonomics.

Certifications

2015

In 2015, I joined the Cambridge University Accelerator Program through the startup Iconic Matter. The things learned there led to the creation of the startup Perlego.com
