[Trendy-UX title] Designer in Leeds, UK, He/Him
About
I am a Product and Interaction Designer who employs UX to strategically improve programs, yielding top-tier, tangible results. My experience spans both the agency world and various private and public sector roles.
Work Experience
Formerly known as Infinity Works before Accenture UK & Ireland acquired the business. I consult on a variety of public and private sector accounts as a Lead or Senior Designer.
As part of a digital migration project, I'm working hand-in-hand with senior stakeholders and directors to marry business strategy and UX strategy in order to achieve the business vision and short term objectives.
As part of the Armed Forces Recruitment Programme, I briefly worked with a team of designers on a discovery project where we aimed to make joining the forces more inclusive and accessible.
As part of the UCD team, I worked to optimise and improve the Elective Care testing experience on GOV.UK during the wind-down of the Test & Trace programme.
During this time, I worked hand-in-hand with User Researchers, Content Designers and Programme Managers to respond in real-time to changes in Government Policy.
All outcomes were visualised using the GDS Design System and validated using the GOV.UK Prototype Kit.
Orchestrated user-focused projects, navigating from data-driven insights to polished prototypes. I played a pivotal role in shaping strategic vision and championing user-centered design methodologies and robust design systems.
Additionally, I nurtured and coached team members, instilling a strong user-centric design ethos while furthering their professional development.
All the while, I maintained an active role as a Product Designer in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, contributing to the team's success.
Side Projects
In my down-time, I've worked on an RPG system and the digital experience that accompanies it.
Transforming cumbersome Powerlifting PDFs into user-friendly, easily navigable webpages for improved readability, particularly catering to users relying on screen readers.
In my spare time, fuelled by my dissatisfaction with EE's Glastonbury app, I've worked to provide an alternative.
Volunteering
I'm a national-level competitor who contributes to the sport by volunteering as an official, promoted from Divisional Referee in 2022.
Applying the strategic skills honed in my professional career, I am guiding the federation towards a digital transformation.
As Interim Chair I lead a team of volunteers in coordinating regional competitions for up to two hundred lifters at a time.
