A design platform for teams who build products together. help manage the central hub of Friends of Figma, Figma's global community platform. My primary focus is on forum moderation, facilitating digital events, contributing to growth strategy, and sharing updates on analytics.

In April 2021, a year + after starting, our primary channel had grown by 1050%, and member's were sharing an average of 15,000 messages per month. As of July 2023 growth has climbed to over 2000%.

In 2022 I trained and co-led a team of moderators during Figma's 24 hour digital conference, Config. I also contributed to updated moderation processes to be used for future live events.

2021 — 2023
Toronto

The best way to organize your service business. At Jobber I worked closely with product leaders to drive strategic design initiatives, produced high impact features (shipping mobile scheduling and maps in '22 & '23), and helped level up the design org through mentorship, workshops, and establishing rituals.

The Museum of Modern Art connects people from around the world to the art of our time.

At MoMA I worked on adapting a strategic vision produced by IDEO to a more grounded technological scope. I worked with project managers to establish a roadmap of deliverables, created hi fidelity templates and interactive prototypes for a new digital home for members, and contributed to MoMA’s digital design system. Work also included updating editorial templates to better point to the new digital member home.

Multilingual Meetings. Reinvented.

At KUDO I worked closely with the marketplace team, updating the platform design, UX, brand application, and rebuilding the component library used across the entire digital portfolio.

2020 — 2021

A little team solving big problems. At Produktiv (formerly KRFTWRK) I led an embedded design team within Sun Life, focusing on new tools to help new and existing clients learn more about offered products.

Other products included new digital products for Harbourfront Centre, Future Capital, Lightyear Health, Xanadu, Coral, and Aspira. I also established a core set of principles and processes for Produktiv's design team that enabled greater scale and decreased product delivery time.

2019 — 2020
Toronto / Global

Making the Internet better. During my time at Tucows I created a design accessibility plan and collaborated with team leads on an implementation roadmap, designed new customer acquisition tools for Ting Mobile, and built the first design system and component library for Ting.

2017 — 2018
Toronto

Transforming medical record access for businesses beyond care. At medchart I worked on a cross functional team as the only designer, designing digital products for the legal, private medical practice, and consumer platforms.

I also had the privilege of collaborating with Cossette on a new brand for medchart. This multi-month process involved market research, ideation sessions, design crits, and culminated in a full platform redesign.

Projects

2023

Worked on updating and creating new digital products for MoMA members, with the primary focus being a home for exclusive digital membership content.

2022
Mobile Scheduling at Jobber

Shipped updated schedule designs and new scheduling features as a part of Jobber's renewed focus on mobile.

2022
Mobile Maps at Jobber

Shipped a brand new map toolkit in Jobber's mobile app.

As maps were unavailable in the app before this project, we started with testing different libraries that utilized three primary mapping providers. Evaluating cost, performance, and scalability, we moved towards bringing existing patterns from Jobber.com into the app. Patterns were then updated to align with different use cases rooted in the context of mobile. We validated through user research and ride alongs with clients in our beta program before launching to everyone.

2022

Bruno and I worked together to train a team of moderators and manage the moderation of Figma's 24 hour design conference, Config.

We also created a moderation guidebook for future conferences.

Future Capital is the private network for innovators, founders, industry and thought leaders to gather, collaborate and lead. With game changing companies, a funnel of diverse talent, and elevated learning experiences, Future Capital is reimagining the way startups are funded by developing a new, more diverse cohort of investors.

I led a team through the process of building a portal for investors and Future Capital's cohorts.

2021

A tool for improved intimacy, connection and communication.

I was the design manager on a growth focused project. Outcomes included a refreshed onboarding process that educated new users on how to use the application and an updated information architecture to make content discovery more intuitive.

2021

Prospr by Sunlife is a holistic wealth, health and financial platform for Canadians. It has tools for customers and financial advisors to collaborate on their financial, health and wellness goals.

2021

Harbourfront Centre is an international centre for contemporary arts, culture and ideas, and a registered, charitable not-for-profit cultural organization operating a 10-acre campus on Toronto’s central waterfront.

With a large number of categories, navigation had become overly complicated and difficult to use.

The solution? A mobile-first approach that allowed for quick access to events and artists and a clear call to action for donating. A minimal approach to design to allow imagery and artistic expression to stand out.

I was the design lead on the project and provided digital strategy, project management, and product design.

2020

I was a studio assistant, technician, and installer for Raymond Girard's "Toying with Utopia" project.

"Toying With Utopia’ is a site-specific arrangement of 50,000+ LegoTM bricks into a Habitat67-like fantasy city with 1000 terraced pavilions, an illuminated mega-tower and kinetic buildings on rails literally moving through the landscape. It is an optimistic assembly of shapes and forms that speaks to the inherent creativity and ever-evolving nature of cities, skylines and the communities they enable.

‘Toying With Utopia’ literally plays on Charles and Ray Eames’ truism that “toys are the prelude to serious ideas”. The structures are visible from passing streetcars and across Roncesvalles, reinforcing 313 Design Market’s goal of becoming the community hub and gathering spot for design lovers, young and old"

2020
Park Management System at Aspira

Led a team through a complete reinvention of Aspira's (acquired) online park management system.

2020

Collaborated with Figma on initializing and growing a global network of self supported communities focused on the product.

2019

Studio assistant & installer.

"All of the elements of Brick Weaving are rendered in Lego™ bricks – over 50,000 of them. Just like 401 Wellington itself, these plastic elements can be reconfigured into an infinite number of uses and adapted to new needs and changing circumstances.

The patterns of the vertical beams reference McGregor’s sock patterns. The architectural styles represented in the 3 larger towers – from historicist to modern – reference the global nature of Toronto’s ideas economy and Stantec’s architectural practice.

Raymond Girard is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist with a background in marketing and interior design. His sculptures in LEGO have been exhibited in Toronto and Hamilton – and can be found in private collections from Los Angeles to Sydney to Santiago."

2018

Studio assistant, technician, & installer.

"The site-specific sculptural and photographic installation is made up of over 100,000 LEGOTM bricks and weaves through the entire new Akasha Art Projects space in Toronto’s Cabbagetown."
