The main goal was to help Worldpay compete with startups such as Revolut and Ayden by creating a less "traditional" payments platform for merchants that offered services and features more in line with modern user expectations, such as Open Banking, payment links, fast onboarding and a mobile-focused approach.

I helped to guide product teams used to working with more traditional payments methods towards a faster release and learn approach, by taking user insights and analytics to inform design decisions.

2020 — 2023

London

I worked on two main client projects whilst at Raven, they were:

Dentsu
A systems thinking-focused project with the global advertising agency Dentsu, I designed an internal SAAS platform to measure client spend against that of external vendors. The goal was to be able to keep track and measure the productivity commitment that was agreed at the start of a client contract and monitored globally.

I worked alongside a Researcher and Product Owner to create the solution for the Productivity Manager, which involved conducting user interviews with stakeholders, wireframing solutions and using test and learn to iterate designs quickly, using a mature design system to create development-ready designs.

I liaised between POs, on and offshore development teams and other ecosystem project teams.

Super Payments
A new payment provider to compete with the likes of PayPal and Worldpay, by using open banking to eliminate the payment charges from the credit card company to the merchant. I worked on the creation of 3 core products for Super - a cashback app, a merchants portal, and a payments flow.

The cashback app was designed using rapid iteration across multiple release phases, which allowed us to feed the development team and launch the MVP product within 4 months - a very fast turnaround from the initial research.

The merchants portal consisted of b2b onboarding, including KYB background checks, integrating with 3rd party APIs and integrating Open Banking.

I used A/B testing to compare the performance of different design variations and identify the most effective solutions. Along with validating user feedback, gathered through surveys, usability testing, and user interviews.
