Product Designer

Our design system started as a mobile-only Sketch file that few in the company had seen. Over the course of 5 years, I grew to lead the project, migrating it to Figma, expanding its scope to include our web app, and building a partnership with engineering that allowed us to make consistent progress updating all legacy components.\

The project reduced engineering and QA time while increasing accessibility, consistency and trust from the students, parents, and educators that rely on Remind.

Design System

Murals are interactive, online whiteboards enabling inclusive collaboration. I joined at \~70 employees and designed features that still exist today such as navigation onboarding. MURAL is now used by 95% of the Fortune 100.

Remind is a messaging app helping educators improve student outcomes. Over 5 years, I designed core features, lead the design system, then ran a team of 3 senior product designers with 100% retention over my 18-month tenure.

Head of Design

I led a year-long project dedicated to bridging language barriers between educators and the 20% of U.S. families who speak a language other than English at home.

We interviewed educators across the country and took steps to balance the needs of equitable communication with the financial implications of translating millions of messages.

I’m most proud that the final product is simple enough for a teacher to use in 5 seconds and powerful enough for an administrator to translate an announcement into 100s of languages at once.

Translating for Educators

I lead research, design, strategy, and marketing for a creative collective building apps and websites that strengthen relationships. We launched a [Slack game](https://group-guess.netlify.app/) for improving team cohesion and a [website](https://sendmorepostcards.com/) for sending custom photo postcards, inspired by my grandma.
