About
Led by their belief in the value of shared stories, Aidan approaches every project as an opportunity for storytelling. With a deep love for both craft and story, they create work that is as carefully considered as it is meaningful.
Aidan’s multidisciplinary skillset enables design responses that encompass a range of analog and digital processes, across print, digital, identity, motion, 3D and type design outcomes. Platform-agnostic, always curious and an innate problem solver, they place the most instinctive approach above the most conventional, producing unique and explorative work.
Projects
Campaign artwork and motion design for LCI Melbourne’s ‘Different by Design’ campaign.
As part of my work on this project I built upon the original creative concept to produce a flexible motion system that was applied across a wide range of digital placements. In addition, I also contributed artwork for various campaign placements, including out-of-home screens, social media content, event collateral and more.

Visual identity, 3D motion graphics and social media strategy for IM-PERMANENT, Ellis Jones & RMIT Industrial Design’s 2023 Melbourne Design Week exhibition.
A 9-day pop-up at Abbotsford Convent, IM-PERMANENT spotlighted circular design through a showcase of over 20 experiments in mycelium - a low-waste, compostable biomaterial with the potential to replace plastics, concrete and polystyrene.
I developed a visual identity for the exhibition, centred around a custom 3D logotype. Developed digitally using physics simulations, the logotype is a conceptual mirror to the process of growing mycelium within a built form, producing organic and unpredictable results. A fluorescent colour palette and synthetic materiality creates contrast against the earthy, raw aesthetic of mycelium.
The 3D logotype was brought to life through short-form social media content, which used visual effects techniques to place the form in situ at Abbotsford Convent. Additional outcomes included a social media strategy and content, and a range of exhibition collateral.
IM-PERMANENT was a Communication Design finalist at the 2023 Victorian Premier's Design Awards.
